Subscribing for the APE Saga. Appreciate the videos! My carry gun is a G19.3 with an Ape Utility slide. I went with the ape slide because of the lack of options for native Acro mount slides. I had the same light strike/failure to go into battery within the first 150 rounds, with roughly the same 1 or 2 a mag frequency. I swapped the recoil spring/guide rod out for OEM which fixed the issue. My opinion is Ape is shipping these slightly undersprung. I'm now 2500 rounds through the slide without a malfunction since swapping to the OEM spring. I like the idea of the Wallace on my 17, but you've given me some hesitation. The content is great man, keep it up.

Same exact reason I went with the ape slide! Hopefully the acro footprint will become more readily available in the near future. If I have issues with the Wallace still I will try running an oem spring. Thanks for sharing your experiences, it’s great info!

The trigger pull weight on the C2 isn't as light as the XL or XC as it is designed for carry / duty. Its satisfactory for that purpose.

i did the same.. bought the 5".. customized it.. then bought the 4.25 to potentially carry.. i pick it up today because i got hit with the 5 day wait. lol Dave's shop (DSC gun works) is about an hour from me.. i like running my polymer guns pretty often still, to remind me of grip fundamentals

Nice pick up! I been eyeing a 4.25” myself. I currently edc a 229 legion comped w/x300 and wondering if I want to go with the 4.25” or SS MR920P for my next carry. I know they’re 2 different guns but I’m hesitant with the external safety on the prodigy. My 229 is a da/sa with trigger and spring job. Whats your favorite edc. Tia bro 🙏🏽 Just subbed too 🤙🏽

The 229 legion is a great gun! It’s too difficult to compare the shadow systems to the prodigy. One being steel framed hammer fired, the other polymer striker fired. My personal edc of choice is the sig xmacro. But if I had an unlimited budget, I’d probably go with a shadow 2 compact, bul sas ultralight comped, or staccato cs. Thanks for the sub bro!

@@zarinkai2927 personally I probably won’t. Just because of how much money I have into the gun, puts me about just under Staccato P prices (taking into account LE/MIL discount for staccato). I don’t want to put more money into the prodigy that would put me past the price of a staccato p
