@@j.zhredz I saw another reviewer say aluminum was a stupid choice because it isn’t heavy enough to compensate for the recoil like other SF handguns. At the same time the reviewer was coming from a stand point of competition guns which seems silly…. But bro the way you shoot that thing seems like it would make and excellent carry gun or home defense. I’m curious to know how the polymer frame compares to a 365 X macro, hellcat or G19

I don’t think the difference is as large as you said. I personally think they shoot nearly the same. The metal frame weighs a couple of ounces more but has no polymer flex. The polymer one weighs a little less but has polymer flex which should soak up some of the recoil. What I found is they both have a different recoil impulse. From what I’ve seen some people prefer the metal frame impulse and some prefer the polymer impulse. That’s going to be the biggest difference. I preferred the overall feel and impulse of the metal frame. So I went with the metal frame myself. But if someone wanted to save a little money, I don’t think you should feel bad about that because the guns at least to me, shoot nearly identical. The polymer frame will also conceal a bit easier as well. Which is something to consider if it’s for edc
@j.zhredz2 ай бұрын
i dont know but for me personally the metal frame shot so much better and recoil was more manageable. everyone has their preferences but your right the polymer is easier to conceal and is cheaper which is a huge plus when thinking about a carry gun 💪🏼
@joshuadjanАй бұрын
The slides are the same so there should be very little difference. We’re talking a slight weight difference and grip length. I think he’s saying the polymer recoils harder because he’s able to get a better grip on the metal frame…probably has larger hands.
@j.zhredzАй бұрын
@@joshuadjan i got medium large hands& i get a pretty good grip on both guns. the metal frame just straight out shoots flatter. you have to shoot them side by side to see what im talking about & the new cz p-09 c was even flatter shooting then the polymer carry comp.

Angle down or hanging is recommended but the biggest issue is if you shoot a plate with something that puts a dimple in the steel say a high caliber rifle, the round if it hits it right will send the shrapnel back 180°. A nice little round bowl to fire back at you.

How could you properly test the recoil when you put heavy flashlights on it and both flashlights are different models, too?
@j.zhredz2 ай бұрын
if anything the flashlights help the recoil a bit. without the flashlights they will have a tad more recoil but the metal frame is overall a more balanced gun, therefore it shoots better and im able to get follow up shots quickly because the dot dosnt move

Full size vs compact isn't going to be a good comparison. If you compared a Glock 19 and Glock 17 you'd have the same results. I think it's less of the metal vs polymer, and moreso just the size. :/
@JamesReedy21 күн бұрын
I wouldn't say the polymer carry comp has a lot of recoil LOL, it shoots reasonably soft. It's no surprise the metal frame might have less felt recoil, it's the same recoil impulse into more mass. It certainly recoils less than the G19 it's competing with and the narrower grip is easier to get your hand around, conceals better etc.

@@j.zhredz I like the idea of all the upgrades you get right out the box. Stippling, double under cuts, thumb grip to rest your thumb on, flare mag well, fluted barrel , cut for an optic, and let’s not forget about the comp. They also have a policy where if you have a justified shoot they will replace the gun or let you borrow the same gun until you get yours back from the cops. The price to do all those upgrades to a Glock will set you way over the price of the cr920p. I understand it’s a cookie cutter gun.
