📍Today we're going to take you around the beautiful mountain town of Pickens, SC! The city of Pickens is located 20 miles west of Greenville, right at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The 1860s is when the city was truly formed and it was named General Andrew Pickens from the American Revolution. Fast forward to today, the city has become known for being an awesome mountain town rich in history!
Pickens has an awesome food scene! One of our favorites is Coyote Coffee and not just for the coffee because they also have great smoothies, teas, and food options. Burning Brick Tavern is a great option if you're looking for a fun place to hang out, have a burger or some tasty wings, and even enjoy live music or maybe karaoke! Lastly, there's Pumpkintown Mountain Opry which is similar to a general store where you can pick up some local honey, pastries, and some of the best BBQ in the area!
For things to do in Pickens, you have to check out Table Rock State Park for hiking, kayaking, swimming, and much more. There's also Turtles on the Town which was a local art project that turned into a scavenger hunt!
