Picket Post: complete up and down

Nice hike up PicketPost out by Superior yesterday. Started off solo, but as I drew closer to the chute I ran into somebody that we played leapfrog on the trail for a while, me passing her when she rested, and her passing me when I rested. At the point of going up the small chute, we paced alike there and she showed me a different direction to go. On the way down we pretty much paced together there too. I usually always hike solo so it was nice to have somebody to talk to on the trail, and it was mutual.
When I started off, I wasn't sure if I was going to make it all the way up and down before sunset, because at the gate it says they close at sunset. While they're getting later, I didn't know if I would have enough time and I had plenty. Started off at 12:30 and got back to the parking lot at 5:00. There was a spot in the beginning where Alltrails took me off trail, but the main path eventually met up on the map. then about 5 minutes and I forgot to turn my camera on after leaving the top, but I do turn around and point to it I believe to show how close I am to it. I had done this one before at least 4 or 5 years ago, but this time I recorded it up and down on my GoPro. Last time I took the chute to the right, this time to the left.
Once I got to the top, I saw the new mailbox that had been put up since the last time I had been there. When I was there the first time it was a red mailbox I believe just lying on the rocks, and there was a bench with no seat, just the frame. The bench was gone this time. On some hiking groups I had heard that there was a new mailbox and had been put up with a post. So I signed the book and ended up heading back down in pace.
