We spread old newspapers and spread em out so they wouldn't sweat 😂 Next day I washed the jars while grandma and my aunts worked ! Must have been 100 in that Fl kitchen! It seems theres a rule, has to be the hottest day of the summer! 😂🎉

I have told the story of you putting Matt's truck up for sale myself, because I love a good story. And about you two passing on the road and both turning around and coming back. When we were dating, my husband broke up with me at age 16 because he thought we were too young to choose our life partner, and we got back together three years later because my friend married his uncle and we were both in the wedding. He said he had always known I was the one for him. He was right.

They were bush beans… count on critters caught to date…5 raccoons, 2 possums, the deer ate tops out of our sweet Million tomatoes, the rest looks good but the cucumbers is another story…we had about 20 healthy plants and the critters ate all cucumber and vines…they left about 10 inches hanging…hope they will grow and bloom again…hope your garden product a good, good crop. The plants look so healthy…I have never eaten a yellow Tommy toe.

Love the "selling the truck" story! The passing in the road and both turning around to meet each other, reminds me of the story of my great grandparents from Romania.... I don’t advocate smoking but I have an interesting memory. Both mom and dad smoked. As a result my mom who was a great gardener would collect tobacco leavings from around the house. She’d place them in a mason jar then fill the jar with water. Once the water turned a dark color she’d use the liquid to spray on the garden plants. I swear that I never saw a bug on any of her garden produce.

You could easily set up a drip irrigation system for your garden that would run on a timer. They make 1/4" and 1/2" hoses with perforations every so many inches, could just run one of those lines down each row and it would water down at the roots. It's very efficient at watering as opposed to using a wand on the whole thing, plus you don't have to be out there at 6am doing it. Good project for the winter when you need something to do, it's like legos for adults.

We need rain too. It’s fire season here. Those tomatoes with the different leaves, those are called potato leaf leaves cause they look kinda like potato leaves. Usually a tomato with potato leaf leaves are more cold hardy than the regular tomato leaves. I have a variety called STUPICE, pronounced stew-pech-key, it’s a potato leaf and it originates out of eastern Europe, possibly Poland. It’s technically a cherry tomato but it’s really big cherry tomato. Like the size of a baseball, maybe a tad smaller. It is my ole reliable, always makes early and is prolific. I’m making cube steak tonight, with a baked tater and some salad. TeresaSue We can’t wait for mater sandwiches!

I’ve planted a container garden this summer. I bought an RV so I drove from Florida to Delaware with my two dogs to spend summer in my sons backyard so, spending time with my two grandsons. I planted tomatoes, sweet peppers and crooked neck squash! Im so excited watching them grow. Can’t wait to harvest and eat! You and Matt tickle me going on to one another. Love it! 4:07

Oh how much fun this video was. I wish we would get some rain. Got a little shower Sunday night, but not much rain. It is so sweet and so incredibly obvious how much you two love each other. You are both truly blessed. ❤😊❤😊❤🙏

After I was widowed I jokingly told people I would only marry again for money or a really good handyman. Matt sounds like he's a really good handyman, figuring out how to do anything. You've described yourself as shy when you were younger so I can see why Matt didn't suspect you of being the one who tried to sell his truck. I agree that it's a really funny story.

My late father in law improvised a watering system by using an old dishwasher pump. A dishwasher that was in our home when we moved in was broken. We mentioned it when they stopped by. Mr Ns ‘ ears perked up. I want the pump for a project. He was very inventive and it worked!

Another fun video! I am so impressed with your garden - it’s amazing! Hope you get some rain soon. I’ve heard the story before about you trying to sell Matt’s truck, but I still laugh about it. Matt, I’m with you about all this technology. Some of it is just too darn confusing!
