Picking my Stereo Amp (2022) - Fosi vs Emotiva vs Topping

I recently made the switch from a 7.1 home theater system to a stereo system. Since I made that change, I’ve been trying a few different amps to see what suits me best. In this video, I compare the Topping LA90, Emotiva BasX A100, and the FOSI HD-A1 power amplifiers. Ultimately, I decided on the Fosi.

Fosi knows how to build a class ab amp. Being avid classical listener, the sound stage is layered and wide. The amp is warm, engaging and to me live sounding. Using Wharfdale 12.1, I think I've nailed a perfect match. If you're shopping, don't overlook this amp. Nice review, glad to see this amp getting attention.

Based on this review and the two dudes, I popped for one and am glad I did. This amp is playing well above its price. I am sort of enamored with it actually. Simple, elegant and capable. I think it presents source material appropriately. If you are looking for an all day driver this one fits just right. Class D can be tiring. It pairs well with lower sensitivity quality speakers like the JBL L52 Classic. Sitting down with a favorite album or two from Tidal it presented a very immersive experience to the JBLs. On Edit: About the hum of the transformer...I plugged it into my APC power unit set to deliver stable 110v from my home 120v source and the hum went away and it is dead quiet externally and in the signal path.

Have you ever tried the Aiyima A07? $80 and that thing is pretty remarkable. Easy to try and send back if you don't like it through Amazon. I bought a second one i liked it so much. Haven't even bothered rolling the op amps which i hear can improve the amp more. I was skeptical but became a convert. I was really pleasantly surprised to hear your 1 2 and 3rd place picks here.
