Picking Schlage BE365

I finally came up with the method to pick this very tricky lock, by using one of the old school methods of picking a different lock then incorporating that method into what works for the BE365 . Works Great

Great video. Which is the safest type of keypad lock that cannot be picked and which is recommended for absentee owners who do not have a key keeper in the area to see when the battery is running low? How would you compare the Schalage BE 365 vs the wifi lock BE489WB as far as safety, reliability (not malfunctioning)?

great hints . But the one in the video is the earlier model with all regular top pins because electronic pick can deal with it. The recent ones ( I mean recent 2 years maybe) , they all come with 4 spool pins , only the last one is a regular top pin. My question is. use the knob as tesioner, will it discount the feel when I use single pin picking because this the best way to deal with sppol pins. I guess I will try it out with my BE365 in my work van.

I only dealt with one in the field which I ask customer to hold the rotating knob and I hand picked it ( has spool pins in ).

Sam Thanks for Subscribing and your comments Great feedback when I discovered this method there was no customer I had no lube just my hand picks there was spool drivers in the lock and I single pin picked the lock I had to make a key for a property management company and had got to the unit on the 5th floor and got tired of waiting for a code decided to pick the lock. I found i could feel the binding and counter rotation of the spool pins much better by hand then with a tension wrench, but with all new apprentices I teach picking to I tell them to keep changing your technique until to you find what works best for them some times I have to pull every trick in the book to get success. Sam and others the locks do have the spool drivers you can pick spool drivers with a pick gun just all in the method before smart locks my career record picking to drilling was in the high nineties I would not buy a electric pick gun for the last 35 years until someone made one with a change out recharging battery I use the most efficient method to open on the job

Why not just bump it?

Thanks Brian most Locksmiths do not bump most of the time I normally have two sets of picks on my person at any time then i also use my multi pick electric, our pick guns that we use are actually are bumping locks although we also use turning wrench's as far as I know Harry Houndi invented the pick gun.

Brian I thought I would try to bump this lock the problem is the same as picking the lock not using my method the unit wants to turn when trying to pick or bump this lock is one that you really need three hands to open if you do not use the method I came up with Jeff
