Thank you for taking us along on your road trip :) And again, we get to enjoy the genius of Aaron & his drone and editing skills! (The way you filmed, using the drone, the truck & trailer pulling into the growing facility...It's those small things that add up to make your videos so visually appealing!)

Hi, Laura! Thank you for touching on the topic of the incredible process of growing annuals in a greenhouse. I work at a nursery in Iowa and I must admit I become a little frustrated when customers question the prices of plants. If they only knew what is involved in growing that beautiful plant from seed (soil, starter trays, pots, fertilizer, fungicides, pesticides, and not to mention the time and labor, shipping, and the costs of keeping them looking nice at the nurseries)! I’m honestly surprised the price is so economical!! It would be awesome if, for a future video, you could explain this process more thoroughly at a greenhouse/grower. Thank you for your informative videos. We sometimes link to them on our Facebook page for our customers to view. Have a wonderful spring and summer!

Fun fact: That terrifying mountain of a lawn is property donated by Simplot as a Governor's mansion in 2004. But Otter never moved in, and the cost of keeping up the landscape eventually led the state to return the property to the Simplots in 2013. I honestly don't know why they don't plant the slopes with some perennials and native plants. That lawn is terrifying!!

Loved viewing this video. I just started working at a local nursery for the busy season here in NC and love it. I often use what I've learned from your videos to help customers make decisions. Proven winners is a must in my yard. They out perform other plants by far for me. Everyone here lost a lot of their shrubs this winter including the nurseries, so it's been crazy busy. I've been trying to learn more about shrubs which is what a lot of folks use here. Love little Benjamin in the videos and seeing how much he has grown. Keep those videos coming and I'll be watching and taking notes.

Next year could you tour a nursery and show more colors. I understand this was for your yard, however we as consumers would love a jump on our annual shopping. Seeing these plants close up in mass helps tremendously. I personally have purchased more from your suggestions than any other gardening show including PBS shows. I appreciate you sharing your time and knowledge. The family's cuteness is an added bonus.

I just love it when you show us the plants you are planting in your landscape, and the green house was just breath taking, I live in Idaho Falls and always get so excited when the green houses get their plants ready to purchase, I love filling my pots and flower beds with annuals and perennials, and love the idea of more container flowers since I don't have a lot of yard space, once again Benjamin is so adorable and this video was so helpful and inspiring, thank you again Laura and Aaron and of course Benjamin!

I LOVE how that alyssum did around your urn in the versailles garden! I can't wait to get my hands on growing that here! I've binge watched all of your videos from the beginning to here so far but this is my first comment. I'm not a gardener (yet) but I've grown some herbs here and there and have always had a slight interest in it. I'm so ready to unleash this passion I have for gardening now at 29 because you've inspired me so much! So thank you both!

Hello Laura, Aaron, and Benjamin. Greeting you from the City of Trees, Boise, Idaho. Loved the video. I recognized Harrison Boulevard and then Simplot Hill and I was wondering where you were going. I didn’t even realize there was that huge growing facility hiding in that part of town. We will have to take a drive. The trees are beautiful here in Boise this time of year. I’ve been watching your videos for a couple weeks and yesterday I got all excited when I found some plants that you have talked about. When I told the gal at D&B Supply about you and your videos, she told me that she took a potting class from you many years ago. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and very cool that you and your talented hubby also share the view of scenic Western Idaho and eastern Oregon. One of these days we will head your direction and check out your parents garden center.

What a welcome surprise for us. I have always, always wondered where the plants were grown in the different parts of the country and specifically where yours came from being way out in Ontario, OR. Do they grow the varieties together and then separate or do they grow your order together as we saw it? I am going to be looking out for growers now - where ever I go that have ample Garden Center outlets in a community. How awesome to see this one grower in a small valley with such a lush facility inside and OUT...thank you Laura & Aaron (and Benjamin too) - now the term "hay racks" makes perfect sense, and something I can do so easily at my place (rather than clunky boxed window boxes.) Just absolutely lovely :- )

I love petunias. Wish I could have them again. Unfortunately, we have an invasive moth that uses them as a host plant. The caterpillars level one petunia in about 48 hrs. Spraying B.T. doesn’t work cuz the plants get really sick, ooze a sticky sap in response to the invasion & become unsalvageable. It’s awful to see this happen to gorgeous supertunias. If Proven Winners ever develops a supertunia resistant to caterpillars let us know! I’d love to go to this greenhouse & dream about what I could create. Thanks for taking us along!

To me perennials are the backdrop. I only use annuals to do spring/summer hanging baskets and pots for around the porches and beds. Some of these like the the hippo-rose and hippo-reds, which we call something different here in the South, come back every year. So I say take advantage of all, but I don't have the time or money to plant beds and beds of annuals.

hola Laura.
