Picking up my completed 65cc Honda Motocompo big bore

This repair shop is fast and great!
I didn’t want to run in there with a camera. I don’t feel comfortable enough to “hey KZbin! This is …!” Haha.
The final number for it will be 65cc. I’ll have to find time someday to get the registration taken care of. I’ll be able to drive faster with yellow plates. That part is easy. Just sucks it’s during my work hours so I need to take time off.
I’ll make a video next time showing more of the motocompo and not just driving. Had to hurry home to watch my kid.

They are pretty easy to come by around here. I gave it a little bit of a mod to make it more road friendly. At stock it can’t legally go over 30km but now I’m good for 50km 😎

Yeah it does get scary unless the wheels are bigger. I keep it at about 40 or 45kph. Cops will give a ticket if a registered 50cc goes over 30kph. Mine is registered one plate type up so I’m safe for 50kph. Also I can make right turns at intersections. A registered 50cc has to use the cross walk and walk the scooter by law or do what they call a 2 step right turn

I got it from yahoo auctions and don’t remember the name… maybe it was polinie. The seller didn’t have the name of it in the sale till I got the item. The listing said it was good for 60cc but the shop said it was 65cc. The sellers account is deleted now. Can’t check the old listing anymore

So many questions arise from this, please answer them if you can; 1- what do you use this bike for? Daily commute or just fun? 2- A year on from this video, is it still running/is it reliable? 3- Does the person who fitted it to your bike offer a head/piston/exhaust/carb etc etc I can buy? Hello! I use this motocompo for fun. Quick trips to the store or for meetups. The bike is still running but only because i recently completed a full rebuild of the gear box and motor. The big bore felt fine for the few months i used it. But the bike didnt have any maintaince done when i got it. so i took it to a new shop to have a custom gear made and a new 2 speed clutch installed. Along with that i had everything else replaced that i could. Seals and gaskets, cables and pretty much everything needed for a full rebuild. ive been using it for about a month with no issues. i still need to ride it more when possible. i can hit 50kph without a worry now. the new shop i went to can pretty much make or get anything needed. but he only speaks japanese. you would need to stop by his shop for him to have a look at whats needed. ill try to get a new video up on what i had done to my bike. i wish i had more time haha. thanks for watching!

Most of the stuff can be found on the Japanese yahoo auction. I know there’s a few companies out there that will bid and do shipping for you. The clutch comes from a road pal s or Honda express. It’s a bit difficult to find everything needed. That’s why I had a shop do everything for me. Took them 11 months to complete my build. The custom gear being the part that took the longest
