Picking Up My Dream Car - Audi RS3 (2023) - Sportback

From visiting the Reading Audi garage over 30 times in the last 9 years I finally got the experience of buying a new car. Honestly, a dream come true!
The Vorsprung Audi RS3 is a dream to drive and with it being something that both myself and Steph will share, it's the perfect car.

I've waited for my RS3 fifteen month as well. My car is daytona grey but with the same rims as you. I have silver reviewmirrors, red brakes, RS Sports Exhaust System, Bang+Olufsen Sound System an the small red package with the alcantara Steering wheel. The velocity is stunning!!! Congratulations on your pickup man! I just got the call a couple days ago that my ticket was punched after my dealer got an allocation after 14 months of waiting. I'll be getting my sedan in Kyalami Green (sadly no hatch in the USA) in 2-3 months!

Congrats. Picked up my carbon edition in May after a 15 month wait. Gradually warming to the car as it’s different to the previous shape RS3 I owned. The first 1000 miles take it easy.

@@charliehiscox mines a UK car, unfortunately Audi UK didn’t allow us to really individualise the car like previous RS3. Now sold in packs ☹️

No you don't drive any car easy the first 1000 miles, you give it periodic bursts of throttle to seat the rings

Congrats to you, i definitly feel what you mean, 3 weeks ago i picked up my Golf 8R 20 Years Edition and it was so cool to just "test drive" it the first 1000 km figuring everything out. Now after 2000 KM finally a bit more on the sporty side :).

Nice to see it has a Welsh plate mate, nice one. Nice colour and front bumper an improvement on older model but the gloss black plastic around the grill spoils it for me as body colour would have been nicer. I don't miss my 8V S3 automatic as it was too clinical to drive, blinking fast but not engaging as my Hyundai I30N was. Enjoy your car and smile every time you drive it. Hope it is reliable especially if you keep it longer than 3 years, 5 year old Audi's like having regular trips to Audi...trust me. Tyre wear might also shock you but when you change your tyres (10k ish) put on Michelin Pilot Sport as they last longer than Pirelli's.

Thanks for commenting, I do think in a turbo blue and the other colours the RS3 comes with, it needs more black to offset the colour personally. I think it could end up missing what gives it that well balanced look personally. Appreciate the feedback on the tyres, will keep that in mind!

Big congratulations. I have Vorsprung in Kemora Grey ordered from last June. Been told build week is no34 and car will be facelifted to 2024 model range. You mention you will do indepth spec review. I would be interested to know if you got blind-spot detection sensor. These were deleted due to chip shortage but it is unclear whether or not they were taken of Vorsprung models. My dealer cannot find out.

Owned a new vorsprung saloon in tango red from march 22 till dec 22 did 10k - great car - awesome chassis, lots of fun but the interior was let down - just like a standard A3 ended up part ex for the new LCI m340i both awesome cars

I definitely hear what you are saying, some of the newer Audi's are on another level. However, having driven vans and older cars this car still feels really nice inside and is very comfortable.

We have the black carbon edition, which What Car recommends. I wouldnt say they are supercar performance. An M2 would beat it from a rolling start, and an M3 would beat it from a standing start. I think the audi interiors are just a nice place to be. There not the interior leaders they used to be. I think bmw are better than audi now, having had both. They are a good performance daily though. I think the turbo blue colour looks great.

I hear what you're saying but for where I'm at, the budget and what the car is getting used for I wouldn't pick anything over this. I get what you are saying with the different start speeds but this car needs to be so much more than just that. Thanks for the comment and pleased you like the blue!

Leased this one, if you look through some of my more business videos we try to put cash in to cash flowing assets which means we can pay the monthly payments using the cash flow rather than earned income

Congrats, im getting mine end of the month. But that steeringwheel is so ugly, should have unticked the assistans and gone for the flat bottomed one, it destorys the whole car for me.

Hey, each to their own! The flat bottom isn't actually available on any audi with adaptive cruise control. "The flat bottom wheel does not provide capacitive sensing, so cannot be used in cars fitted with Audi/VAG's MIB3 system that have adaptive driving assistance options that need to determine whether the driver is holding the wheel. Those require the round wheel, which does include capacitive sensors. The limited versions / allocations being made available to the NA region all include some adaptive driving assistance aids, so the flat bottom wheel cannot be used."

It is not a UK thing flat bottom steering wheel may have adaptive cruise control, but will not have lane assist for sure so you won’t be able to let go of the wheel which isn’t too great since it makes you hold it quite often. If you want more info, watch tech in a car, he will explain to you in his videos it is possible to get it all in the RS3 there are some RS6 that have flat, bottom, steering wheel and all of the driving assist with it .
