Happy birthday, Marty. And here's to many, many more.

All those wheels not getting ridden saddens me. You should find good homes for them, Marty. Someone that will love them as much as you do, but ride them for many miles, like they were built to do.

Hello, Marty I received mine yesterday, and I got the same power pads as you, I can't wait to try it, here in France, more precisely in the Hauts de France, the weather is rainy, I hope to be able to take it out this weekend, I want to thank you for your help in choosing this wheel, I hesitated on different models that seemed correct to me, I wanted to remind you that I only started doing wheels two months ago, I bought a Kingsong K16s Pro, for my learning, I have already traveled more than 1500km with it. I'm starting to master this wheel a little better, you know I come from the scooter I very quickly bought a nami burn, which I am now selling, by the way I am 58 years old but I am young in my head, I have always loved board sports, I wish you and your whole wheeler team good rides and don't forget to share them on youtube, it's always a treat to see you ride together, that's what gave me the desire to try and why not learn the wheel. Good luck to you all.😀

Imagine when solid state batteries come available in a couple years. What an upgrade for EUCs at 1/2 the weight.

Imagine geared motors making a comeback. Or even better geared with cvt. Motor is a lot of weight now

We probably won't see solid state batteries and any pevs for at least half a decade.

{ Gets a little political, so skip if you’re not wanting to get riled up 😤 } Imagine Axial Flux motors at 1/3 the weight for the same power. Imagine electronic gearing so the motor(s) could spin up to 20k rpm continuously while the rim speed is decoupled through the motor controller. Imagine 3 axial motors in the same space as the existing motor, that each motor is independent in speed and direction of rotation, yet all three (or only one) can be synchronized with the wheel… Now, imagine those 3 Axial Motors being able to tilt up to 5° off the rotational axis in any direction and using those gyroscopic forces to assist with wheels stabilization, coordinated turn, wobble suppression, stair-climbing (at speed), replacement of kickstand, self-driving and amplification of feedback for accelerating training and performance. Imagine those motors being able to absorb -20K watts of emergency braking power, while traction control maximizes that speed deceleration and rider’s skill levels can be compensated for through machine learning. Imagine that rider being able to accelerate just as quickly (+20kW), while sharply turning, hitting sand/ice, yet maintaining their relative trajectory and balance even if sliding across a patch of black ice. And, imagine that this is possible at less than half the weight of existing EUCs with existing LiFe batteries. Lastly, imagine that the technology exists (today) where Michael J. Fox would be able to learn and ride an EUC with the only pre-requisite being that he’s capable of standing on his own. Now imagine in 10 years when it’s possible for quadriplegics to ride an EUC with the assistance of a robotic ‘walking suit’ that can compensate for muscular weakness, spasms, inconsistency or fatigue. Now, imagine that the only reason that you haven’t had this level of consumer technology for the past 20 years (since it was possible) is that your illegitimate government has failed at its duty to Represent the interests of American people (citizens or not). Imagine the economic impact of a Peace dividend that could replace every vehicle on the road with EUCs, if that’s your thing. And, imagine EUCs being just as affordable and accessible to the Global South and they are in the 3rd world nation where most of us reside. Currently, US Sanctions account for between 30%-50% of the price of an EUC. And, you’re only leverage is your actions of protest or your ability to slowdown the war machine. That’s what we’re not getting from our technocracy, instead we get toys, and you should be angry about this injustice- regardless of your ideology, religion, race, ethnicity or affinities. Power cedes nothing without a demand. Demand better EUCs or buy used proven machines from the community until the message gets through.

Happy Bday Marty, enjoy your personal ShermL. I realized the same thing about the old location when I picked up my ShermMax 2yrs ago. I asked the guy I picked up my ShermL from if he'd seen you or Roger and he remembers Roger. It's a smaller warehouse from the previous one and I agree in doing a Will Call if in the area opposed to the risk of getting it banged up from a delivery service.

We complained about the Patton charge port location and I personally don't find it to be any big deal. I did add a stiffener to the charge cable to help make access to the charge port a non-issue. If the port has stayed in front, seat location would not be an issue either.

Enjoy your new wheel Marty ! Hope you found the user manual for the « Lego » pads 😂. My advice nevertheless is to give a try to Nylonove kinetics especially on that one if you plan to keep it for a while.

Thanks Olivier. I already have good pads for it but someday maybe I'll be able to try Nylonove - not as easy to get in the United States

Happy for you! I still get that same feeling I got as a child, when my parents bought me a bicycle, when I receive a box with a new EUC bought by myself.🙂 Not 17 EUC:s though…, but happy to have some. Legislation in my country got more strict, now you have to buy traffic insurance if the EUC is over 25 kg costing as much as a car insurance and still it has to be restricted to go no more than 25 km/h and must have a seat. I was kinda interested in the Falcon, but they f-cked up their complete European market by making it slightly heavier than 25 kg. Still, happy that EUC:s aren’t completely banned by law over here. Enjoy your Sherman L. It looks amazing! (Please don’t paint it pink.)
