If you hold up on the Sport mode button for 3 seconds you can get Super Sport mode. This will rev out higher and shift faster, i find using the tiptronic shifting on the gear leaver (pull it to the right) is smoother and faster than paddles also. Have fun brother!!

They did a pre delivery clean. A high end detail costs thousands & involves a paint correction & ceramic coating & possibly PPF. Fixing the brakes is the least they can do as working brakes are essential & needed to pass a blue slip inspection.

first of congratulations on the evo x, some tips dont thrash the car when cold since the transmission is sensitive wait 20mins before giving it to reach optimal temps, 2nd make sure you get frequent transmission fluid changes every 20 to 30kms and oil change every 5kms.

The 4B11T engine is a solid unit to work with and responds well to many aspects of aftermarket modifications. However if your not looking to go crazy a haltech engine management system with a nice tune on it will be good enough as a comfy daily for ya bruz

@@enzSa they can fail due to overheating from the clutch packs, fix for that would be a better pump and a higher rated oil cooler, The clutches tend to slip after some time after the heat damages the box (usually with track sessions or aggressive driving)

Get ceramic tinted windows. They help keep out the heat in summer. Then a ceramic paint protect. I wouldn’t bother with paint protection film (PPF) on an older car because you’d need a paint correction first & you’d be up for close to $6000. If the shocks are showing their age look into a set of coil overs. That way you’ll have adjustable ride height. BC Racing do good coil overs that don’t cost an arm & a leg. Front lip, side skirts & rear diffuser would go great with that rear wing & a vortex generator on the rear roof helps with the aero. Carbon fibre mirror caps too. I have a new WRX that I’ve spent the past year modifying. Hit me up if you want any advice & names of suppliers. Cheers Spanien & enjoy the Evo. It’s a sick ride mate.

Awesome ride, as for the tendonitis in your elbow, try and keep your wrist in the neutral position, meaning , when you hold something or clench your fist that the bottom of the fist is straight with your forearm, this will take the the pressure of the tendon in the elbow.

Spanian i tell you straight out man good buy, But before you do anything to a SST Evo X 100% get a Built 10plate Gearbox because Evo X sst the weakest point is the gearbox, RP Motorsports in Sydney Kogarah, they Specialise in Evo X especially SST models, Gearbox 260-280kw@wheels than it starts to not like it, Safest option is Built gearbox , Drop in cams. Kelford 268tx or 272tx , GSC s1 268 Tomei 270 Injectors FIC 1050cc ID1000cc Bosch 1600cc (better bang for buck) Fuel pump DW300 walbro 460 Mafless intake (drives way better than OEM maf setups. (K&N filter + closed box) An Either of these turbos FP-green GT-Pumps 712 3Inch Dump pipe/Front pipe 300-340kw@wheels range (E85) but you can easily make 220-240kw on these turbos, 98 etc Just a friendly Evo owner trying help out :)

I've owned three Evo X's and I keep going back to them. Still have a white one now. It's a money pit in mods but I love it. I'd take it to someone like RPM Motorsport if you're in Sydney, really know their stuff for the 4B11 engine and will bulletproof the transmission for you

Leave it close to stock with a few bolt on mods.. you don’t want it to be a pain to drive everyday! The toll system tells you that you don’t have a card inserted (in Japanese) I ripped mine out of my Evo

I reckon for now get a intercooler, air filter, wastegate,boost tap and dyno tune and ec controller.. that it may next round is a little bit bigger turbo,but turbo for now is alright because from factory they have it tuned low so if you dyno tune with them extra little mods it be little beast 💯no need go crazy at this moment till you need more power Then next mod down the line
