Picking Up My New Custom Wheelchair! | Travel Vlog

Hi! it's been a while but I travelled back up to Burntwood, Staffordshire to collect my completed custom wheelchair!
I briefly update you with how my health has progressed since the last video, why I decided I needed a custom made wheelchair and give a little hotel room tour of the accessible room we stayed in!
This is just another travel vlog like the last one but I showcase my new chair and talk through some of the features it has to help me.

I just saw your channel. If you do need power assist you could look into second hand things the Batecs or maybe a used Smartdrive. They are very expensive but second hand can be significantly cheaper. If you ever need it, that could be an option. I am in the US and UK so maybe access to second hand items is not as easy?

I would have them come and get that cord down as well as change the bulb if needed.

LiezASMR thank you so much! I have, I wish I could get one but they’re far too expensive and the NHS doesn’t give any funding help for power assist 😩 maybe if I win the lottery haha!

See if there's a screw or something you could loosen on the scissor brakes to make them less stiff

I think she needs to move them just a tad farther away from the wheel and they will be easier to engage/disengage. for example when these brakes are off the chair completely they are easy peasy loose... its the wheels close proximity that gives it the strong hold. its taught to get them perfect have someone hold it in place and another person can tighten it exactly where needed. might take trial and error.

hello ive a question or you im currently going through hell trying to get doctors to believe me about chronic pain but how did you get your doctor to refer you for a custom wheelchair and did you pay for it yourself

cameron boyd Hi there, I’m sorry to hear you’re having so much trouble! Unfortunately i self funded the wheelchair entirely as I just didn’t want to deal with wheelchair services in my area because they’re awful! Maybe try some Facebook groups for your condition and/or chronic pain and see if anyone there can help you.

Chronic Fatigue is a SYMPTOM of something else being wrong. If you are going to dye your hair, PLEASE do your eyebrows as well. I have a legit question...how can people say they are in constant, chronic pain one second...and then you see their arms tattooed up? I would think getting tattoos is incredibly painful. Push rims. Nice chair!

this video is over 3 years old so please bare that in mind. Because i manage my pain, and also use numbing cream. Why should me being in pain all the time stop me from looking how i want to? Get the fuck outta here

@@peonypumpkin excuse me? That was kind of rude. I have a faulty immune system and they would have just diagnosed me with Chronic Fatigue and left it there. Instead they went on and did further testing...and realized me being exhausted all the time was actually a symptom.
