PICKING up the NEW MERCEDES C63 507 EDITION

1st of March is when the new registration plate comes out and a day where all the brand new 2014 cars hit the roads on the 14 plate. Here I come to pick up my new C63 AMG 507 edition which has 507hp and is the last hurrah from Mercedes with this 6.2 litre engine. The C 63 AMG is reportedly the first AMG-Mercedes designed from the ground up. Its AMG C-Class predecessors had essentially featured bolt on performance modifications, and according to Car and Driver, these earlier AMG models suffered from "relentless understeer" and "heavy steering". The C 63 AMG has a revised front suspension that is shared with the CLK 63 AMG Black Series. The ESP features a full defeat mode, interfering only under heavy braking. The C 63 AMG also has the quickest, most responsive steering of any Mercedes automobile to date.

Nobody will probably read this but I remember watching this video when I was 15 years old this made me want this car so much when I was older, fast forward nearly 10 years and after owning various high performance sports cars I finally got round to buying a W204 C63 AMG saloon in near mint condition. It is like a dream come true for me. So thank you to Aleem for giving us insight into the buying experiences, speccing of cars etc and vlogging it. I learnt so much from watching these videos back in the day and I took everything on board when I have come to buying my cars, it really inspired me to want to own high performance cars when I was older which I have done.

This engine is a masterpiece, the last naturally aspirated C63 AMG and a true V8 soundtrack from that 6.2L V8 monster! Huge torque and if wanting 500bhp+ the Edition 507 version is one to get. A very special limited edition using forged piston, lightweight crank and other race spec components from the SLS. This engine will echo in eternity! (Gladiator quote steal!) Such an animal to drive, yet so poised like a true AMG. It’s phenomenal! I bought one over an Aston Martin Vantage as benefits from Mercedes AMG engineering and sensible (relatively) ownership costs. Values on the up!! (Think last of the air-cooled 993 911’s!)
