1. I love how the Pickle arc was just him folding half the cast, Baki himself included 2. Yujiro being mildly impressed by Pickle, but then deciding he's seen enough and leaving the arc out of boredom really puts into perspective the difference in strength between him and literally everyone else 3. The reason why Pickle didn't eat Katsumi wasn't because he tasted bad, but because in Pickle's eyes Katsumi had gotten promoted from "Three Course Meal" to "Well Respected Friend". Also the reason why Pickle ran away from Jack was because he reminded him of a dead Wasp that had stung his tongue when he ate it, in other words Pickle was afraid of anything that still fought after death because it reminds him of the pain the Wasp inflicted on him when he was young. Btw while Katsumi was promoted from "Three Course Meal" to "Well Respected Friend", Jack went from "Three Course Meal" to "Thing worth fearing" and then all the way down to "Leftovers". EDIT: Baki basically got too arrogant in the end

Winning and losing in this anime is subjective. You can be face to the Earth and still win. From my understanding, if you don't win your way, you lose. Pickle was forced into a fist fight different from his primal way of fighting and it cost him the match, despite technically beating Baki

Actually the explanation of how Yujiro got into the base kind of makes sense - and he didn't hypnotize them. The guards did their job, stopped Yujiro, and asked himto leave - which pissed him off. The guards took one look at Yujiro, felt his aura of killing intent, and moving on pure instinct started to box each other. Their logic was that "We either have to fight this mf'er or ourselves" Yujiro then watches them beat the hell out of each other for a bit, yells at them to stop like he's scolding some kids, and then tells them: "You lot made a wise choice, you're forgiven. If you tried to fight me, i'd kill you. Also, if you tried to run away, i would have killed you" Edit: Pretty sure the Baki manga came out in the 90's and had a 2001 anime
