One thing I love about pickleball is that it is a skill based game. Age is not as big a factor as some other sports. You can still play high level pickleball at a senior age.

I have the same pet peeve about the slice return. I mean i've seen it done well but most people do not do this shot well and it is inconsistent. Great video, good players.

The point that made it 5 - 1 was a horrible call. I slowed the playback to 1/4 speed, and the ball was in by at least 3 inches. It didn't even touch the white line. Surprised that the reffs didn't overturn the call

Shame on Andy or Wayne...but really Andy...for not correcting the call and saying it was in. He clearly watched it...and it obviously landed in. Poor sportsmanship.

Couple take aways on this. One I think the winning team felt more comfortable using and playing in the wind on both sides. Two ,Howard must have had an awful day, for someone who is 4.9 , his return and serve were pretty poor. His forte is net play. Good play for their age ( which is my age), thanks for sele tion of video.

When there is a bad or purposely false call it changes the game psychology for the victim team. The other day we were in an 11 to 11 game and I tapped a ball outside the line and called it out. The opposition said since I hit the ball even if outside it was their point. After much debate my teammate folded and said let them have it. Of course we lost but I was ticked about the stolen point that would have given us the serve.
