No, three things ! 1 : it's amazing to see Shan's battling ! 2 : no doubt about it, he is on another level, to be honest i don't think that the japanese girl, even if she is good, could win against Shan's (his dance is so subtle and it took me years to understand it ...), she can't win, her dance is too light to battle a guy like Shan's ! 3 : but it's not a wise decision to make a video and burn those judges on internet. It's because we made mistakes that we learnt ... Shan's is a mainstay of house dance, and inspired so many dancers all around the world and for years ... I don't think it's a good thing for house dance, and I don't think it's a good thing for him, he is above this type of practice ... Telling that some people can't judge is a thing, but giving their names is an other one ... If that was sincere advice, a mail would be enough ... Even if you stop dancing . you remains as one of the best Housedancers with subtility, groove and musicality which was avant-garde back in then in 2010 . @@daytona-x7b every style of music has it’s own characteristics. Afro Cuban for instance is extremely syncopated. As a matter a fact, it’s layers of syncopation around a clave. Certain dances are expressed in the same way. Focused on accents that express the music culturally. House itself, the foundation is a melting pot of styles. Some of it African, some Latin etc…. I felt like the emphasis on African styles would’ve gone well with music. Is house African? Yes, some of it is.
