I love old cars and trucks, and I like watching B-J , but it annoys the hell out of me that this is the standard that everyone goes by to set prices for classic vehicles........these people pay crazy stupid amounts for these cars, then the clown down the street that has a hulk of a '56 Chevy that you've been eyeballing for years wants to make a quick 10 grand for something that will take you years and substantially more than 10 grand to build .....the prices are TOTALLY unrealistic for average guys.....they try to sell these things on craigslist or ebay, where average guys live, and won't get anything near these prices......as I said, I love old cars and trucks, but they are just that..... OLD, they shouldn't command prices of new cars ....you rebuild them for love of the hobby

It's not 100% profit. High end builders do make money or they wouldn't do this but time materials, donor truck, operating expenses that all adds up quick.

I just watched the top 10 pickup trucks and loved every one of them except for nine out of 10 of them had tan interior 🤢🤢🤢 I don't understand why car builders nowadays do 90% of builds with tan interior 😲😲😲

Charity tax write off. Lady mentioned proceeds goes to veterans. The person could’ve bought one cheaper off the lot but this way they get a collectible one (1st off the production line) and they get to pay less in taxes because charity.

Tax write off. Generally when you give to charity you’re able to write it off against your taxes. Idk about you but it’s more palatable to give to to a charity for veterans than paying that same amount in taxes to Uncle Sam who can’t take care of the veterans we have.

Love the chevy in the 56'. I put one in a 56 myself and it ran good, looked good, and easy to maintain. Fords are ugly motors, hard to get parts and imtrchangeability is horrible.

It's all in the eye of the builder , but I tend to like a truck that sits up like a truck . Had a 72 ford , lowered a inch in front , two in the back . Looked pretty good . I also like fatter tires , lo-pro just don't look right to me , a 235-70 is good for me .
