Good review. Two thoughts: The naturally aspirated versus turbo charged argument isn’t about absolute raw horsepower. It’s about what the useable horsepower is across the rev range. Generally speaking, most turbos don’t kick in until around 2k rpm, plus turbo lag, which means you feel the power deficit getting off the line, going slower speeds. The other part is reliability. Naturally aspirated engines are inherently less complex, lower pressure than turbo counterparts. Second thought is on value. This is a full size three row SUV that retails for less than 80k fully equipped. It is more or less $5k cheaper than a comparable Sequoia, Expedition. While Nissan suffers from “big Altima energy” stigma in the States, the trucks have a pretty strong international reputation. (This specifically is one of the reasons Honda is purchasing Nissan. Honda doesn’t build full size trucks, and wants that capability both in North America and globally)

Reviewers get these for a week , I know other reviewers must of also had overheating phones in the charger and I’m dissapointed some car reviewers don’t give a full and honest review of things they don’t like or had problems with ! Hats off to you on your review and much respect. THANKYOU

I have a 2015 F150 with the 3.5 TT and a 2024 Armada with the V8. I’ll take the V8 anytime. Nissan builds good engines but with turbos you really need to know how to properly drive them or you’re headed for early repairs. I only have 60,000 on the F-150 and no issues yet and she will get up and go but I still prefer the feel of that great V8. Just wish it was an option. But what a great looking vehicle. Nice review.
@Jackmerius_Tacktheretrix4 күн бұрын
Exactly. Key to making turbos last is to let the engine idle for a few minutes before shutting it off, especially if you're towing, driv8ng hard or coming off of the highway. On my diesel I leave it running when I am just going in and out of the convenience store, if I'm going to be in for a while I hit the remote start since it shuts off automatically after 10 minutes. I'm at over 130k miles on my 2016 and have had none of the turbo issues many others have had with the same engine. That and us8ng good oil and keeping it changed. I use amsoil now.
@noniespam3 күн бұрын
@ FOR SURE, along with a small warmup before you get on it in northern winter climates. And yet not one dealership or manufacturer tells their customers this. I guess it’s future mechanical work for them. And I would never go over 5000 miles on an oil change, 3500 if I’m working them hard. They can spin at 10’s of thousands RPM’s and I’ve seen them glow cherry red so they do work in adverse conditions. They need some loven to last.

I have been waiting on this review from you, I find your honest and detailed reviews are very informative. Being one of the Silverado lifter failure recipients have sworn off all GM products after 40 yrs of ownership. Looking for something to replace my truck and was entertaining one of these. I currently own a 2023 pathfinder and find it to be a very nice daily driver. The Armada would replace my truck to tow boats and long travels, kinda holding out on the turbo 6 for the first year, power is not the issue as much as the reliability. Really wish Nissan still made the Titan, engine reliability is a big thing these days with all the other manufacturers.

Decent review but as far as the "Things you don't like" Most OEM's design vehicles for the average height. You have a short person problem. Many would disagree with you on how "big" this vehicle drives. My wife is 5' 2" tall and she seemed to be intimated by how large this is. Once she was in it and driving it she said it did not drive as big as it looks and this drives much more nimble and more responsive then the previous generation. as for the cargo space behind the third row it actually has 24% MORE cargo space then the last generation. I mean, what do you want? You want more space I guess you can pay another $15,000.00 for an XL version of some of the other manufacturers. This vehicle for the money has so much more than the Sequoia, the Expedition or the Tahoe! Nissan hit the bullseye with the new Armada!

I think I like this new Armada, although I don't think I need something like this anymore. I do have a 21 Titan so I am a fan of the brand. Question: Are the cameras actually upgraded and better than the previous cameras that Nissan has been using? And since you and Tim have access to the engineers, have you thought of asking the engineers about an option on the wireless charging pads? I'd rather have a "delete" option specifically with the wireless pads and still get everything else. I'd rather just use my USB cable, rather than worry about my phone overheating.

lol Jill. The seat bottoms are too long for you and too short for me... Almost like they design it for the average lower body length people with a little deviation. If they made shorter seat bottoms that fit you, people like me would be absolutely miserable on longer trips. The vehicles with extending thigh support are awesome, but are usually a luxury vehicle or an expensive trim.
@jillciminillo5 күн бұрын

Nissan burned the bridges of their customers for 5 long years with those horrific transmission problems and never recovered from it. My sister was one of those victims with a Nissan Altima, and not only did she have to pay for a transmission replacement at 40,000 miles, she had to pay for another one at 76,000 miles. She sold the car after the second replacement but was out nearly $10,000. Nissan absolutely refused to help her even a penny on the second transmission. She sold the car after that and got on the class action lawsuit and only got $4,000 back. Nissan deserves to go out of business for how they treated their customers.
