Love my boom 2! Loud enough and powerful enough for me😊. Plus i got it for only 110$. Insane deal for great sound quality and loudness. The build quality feels cheap compared to the other higher end brands but oh well. I only paid 110$. Very happy with my purchase.

The Boom 2 Probably the best "Sound for the Size" speaker out there. I recently got the W-King X20 which obviously is way better, but I still have the Boom 2 on my watchlist in case there is ever a Black Friday like sale on it. The Boom 2 would satisfy plenty of my bluetooth speaker use cases and is WAY more portable. Like I could run/dance while holding the Boom 2 and it could easily fit in a backpack along with other things like a laptop, mouse, cables, gym clothes, etc.

My brother bought the Boom 2 and bought the Boom 2 Plus and I completely agree with your conclusion: If size is important and you are carrying it around a lot the Boom 2 is more practical, but the bigger thing will bring you better sound.

Me too!!! I just got the Boom 2 a week ago and a few days later all of these reviews started coming out for the Boom 2 Plus with the $40 discount coupon! I was really tempted but man, I just bought the Boom 2! It’s good to know that the little Boom 2 can hold its own against its big brother. Impressive stuff from Soundcore!

Just buy another Boom 2, that is if you picture yourself listening to them placed far apart. They will sound so much more dynamic and immersive with wide stereo separation than the single Boom 2 Plus. A single Boom 2 Plus will still punch a little deeper but overall will not be as an enjoyable and satisfying listen.

A pair of the two smaller will sound so much more dynamic and immersive than a single larger, so long as you place them 8-12 ft apart. The single larger will still punch a little deeper, but that's it. Overall, the two smaller will be a much more satisfying and enjoyable listen.

They’re both worth it. I have the Boom 2. Bought it for €109. Well worth its money. It’s a small speaker but the sound is amazing. The Boom 2 Plus is more powerful than Boom 2 and a bit bigger but it has a strap so you can carry it around on your shoulders. I didn’t heard the Boom 2 Plus (yet), but €169 is a great deal. What is most important for you? If it’s portability go for the Boom 2. If it’s extreme loudness with sub bass go for the Boom 2 Plus. I hope this helps to make a decision.

I have the boom 2 plus bought it on amazon it was on sale for 140 bucks and it's a powerhouse! But the thing that i don't like and many bleutooth speakers have this problem and that's the bass lose above 70% volume or so. The bassup 2.0 sounds great but only untill 70-75% volume after that it loses it's bass and power and it turns into a mess, really frustrated!

So the boom 2 plus is not really stereo? Bass is actually the enemy on these things. You don't really want low "bass" because it sounds so terrible. The best you can do is flat upper bass to highs. I think i like my 300, although the x600 probably sounds better.

As for the Boom2 Plus, there are speakers in its price range & some priced even lower that’ll beat it in terms of loudness & sound quality. I’ll give you 2 examples: W-KING X20. & DB SOARS F29 MAX. The X20 retails for $319.99 on Amazon, but gets routinely marked down to $224.99. I personally own this speaker & for the price that I paid for $224.99 it’s a beast. It’s rated at 200 watts. There are multiple comparison videos on KZbin right now between this speaker & the Boom2 Plus. I suggest that you watch one these videos, because hearing is believing.

@@tnielson1 I’m not personally familiar with the D-10, but you could upgrade from that & get the X-10 which Amazon has marked down to $92 or $93.00. I’ve watched comparison videos between this speaker & the JBL EXTREME 3, with most people saying that the X-10 outperformed it in bass & overall loudness. Hope this helps.

Boom 2 has more defined bass. Possibility deeper too but not as boomy. Glad i got 2 boom 2 for portability and 2 tribit stormbox blast for larger sound situations.

@@Dodonic shit tweeters don't add anything to the sound. Might degrade. Bass extension = software eq preset, nothing else. (Motion Boom has BassUp) OG Motion Boom had lower bass, something the Boom 2 cannot ever do.
