I have all the high end ones like the Bose quiet comfort Earbuds, and WF-1000Xm3, but I wanted Buds to bang around with. Good review and very thorough so it was easy to make my choice.

@@roshandeep3649 They're pretty good but I'm still getting used to them. Its quite possible im even pickier than Picky Audio himself because there's a couple of things that annoy me. The fit is iffy with the silicon tips so i might try foam tips. The edges of the little cut out where the magnets/sensors are feel slightly uncomfortable when sitting in my ears too. And the bass of course is very prominent when listening to bass heavy music, which can be a bit overly loud and muffled for my own liking but definitely gives that loud sub woofer rumble in your ears. Just a little bit much for extensive listening. One final thing i noticed so far are some inconsistencies in overall sound balance with different sounds, its like some small parts to certain songs are missing with these buds, like they are skipped over and it doesn't quite capture how the song is really supposed to sound. But for general listening and especially bassy music or when you need to get pumped up, they defo do the job. I really wanted to play with em and try em out but i think the likes of H1 or sony 1000xm3 are more my cup of tea!

Hi James. Awesome reviews, mate. Especially rating the earbuds for different genres! I chose the T1XS after seeing this review (I had been deliberating between the Soundpeats Sonic and 3SE, back and forth), but these seemed to be the clear winner. Just got them a few days ago and I am blown away. I mostly listen to Psy in many forms - a real test for audio fidelity - and they all sound incredible! The sound field is everything I hoped for, the bass is badass enough on normal setting, and all the different sounds come through incredibly clearly, including vocals. No muddiness whatsoever. Sound aside, best features are the totally customisable EQ - essential to have as far as I am concerned, yet almost unnecessary with the quality of the default setting here, Monitor mode and Latency level choices. Thanks again for quality reviews to help me decide what's best for me.

7:23 the "white noise" is caused by the "ambient mode", its on by default and the option is not in the app. You can press and hold left or right bud until it says "monitor off" honestly the ambient mode is kinda lame, I can't hear a person speaking near me at 35% volume lol, its quite effective on vehicle horn on the road. I personally turn it off it also saves more battery when turned off no more "white noise" when listing to quiet music at 10% volume. as for the suction yeaah there's that. to combat it i use ear foam tips from comply to fix this. more info for Bluetooth & Connectivity. for me the latency even by default without app is like on par with aptx, tested on windows 10 laptop with BT, iOS and android with netflix, yt, chrome browser media playback, playback stored movies. specially with the LL mode on the smartphones you're almost wired as picky audio said. best part is you don't need aptx bt dongle (pc/lpatop) and works without any worry if your device needs aptx. soo basically you can use this on iOS android and windows laptop with BT 4.0 or 5.0 (edit spelling)

They still have some white noise with ambient mode off. Pretty much all earbuds have some white noise or a slight buzz sound. Some just have more than others. The SoundPEATS H1 have the least amount of white noise in any earbud I’ve tested

For those wondering about soundpeats 3se.. pls get the fiil. My 3se has a noticeable buzz sound when I pause a song, or when KZbin thumbnail preview is running, almost as if it is anticipating playing the video even though no sound from the song or video is playing. This will go away after a few seconds, until the next video starts playing on the thumbnail when scrolling through KZbin for e.g.

Got a Jaybird Vista but decided to buy me one of these. Let's see how they sound UPDATE: I just got the T1 xs in white. I'm using them now and to be honest, I love them over my recently purchased Jaybird Vistas. The bass is crisper right out of the case, the volume is plenty loud, the monitor mode is genius, and the multiple sizes of earbuds and wing tips really shows that Fiil wants their product to fit everyone. And the best part yet, I only paid 47.99 on amazon (I have some discount extensions on my browser) compared to $129 for the Jaybird Vistas, and they were 20 dollars off for Black Friday or something 9/10. Highly recommend, especially for athletes that want a secure fit earbuds, quality sound, and function.

I agree with everything you said picky, just got them and I am upgrading from my lovely soundpeatd truengine se since they don't fit very well for me at exercises but the fiil they work great , fiil works awesome and it is a good cheap and better overall replacement to the samsung galaxy buds+. Love these earbuds but since the treble is a Little bit higher than the soundpeats truengine se , they are just a bit harsh in electronic workout songs and is not that they distort is just they are a lot more sparkly than soundpeats truengine se. Overall it has a lot more bass that surprised me and it goes super deep while still being balanced. Love the big and airy sound of the fiil. One of the best purchases I have ever made. I which I had these earlier

I haven’t got my hands on the T1 pro yet so its hard to say! Other reviewers mention it is pretty similar to the FIIL T1XS though and if so I’d prefer the H1. The H1 bass is deep but well refined. Truengine 2 is more on the boomy side and a little too much at times. ✌️

Hello, have you checked the Fiil T1 Lite? I am torn between Fiil T1 Lite and Truengine 3SE. But I'm a bit concerned of the connectivity to a laptop. With 3SE I think I'm not too concerned with the conectivity as I've watched your review on 3SE about the connection to a mac. But with fiil I can only find review in people's comment, some said they encounter cut offs with their macbook (BT 4.2), and the other said that there's a problem with the latency when watching longer video on laptop. Do you encounter any problem with the Fiil XS when connected to your Mac? Thank you!

This T1xs crushes it in almost everyway; not saying the Jlab Air ANCs are bad, its just that apart from wireless charging,battery life, and ANC, the FIIL T1xs wins in everyway. The soundstage, clarity, and instrument separation are on a different level on the T1xs, and best part, you save at least 40$. Hope that helps.😊

@@TheBigKing0 I guess that the pro version are bassier but haven't tried them, the reviews of everyone say they're a little bassier but they're a lot more expensive and haven't come to the U.S. yet, so I suggest you buy the t1xs I have them and don't regret at all that I didn't buy the t1x pro

Idk I didn’t really like them. I think In-ear canal earbuds are just not for me. The sound was just okay, and there’s so many other earbuds in the same tier in quality and sound that you can just buy something like the mpow 30 for example for cheaper. ~$25 vs ~$60

T1XS is the better value. You’ve got the app an ambient mode and low latency if you need that. If not it might be worth saving some money cause sound wise it’s pretty close.

Great review! The only thing that I find would be troublesome is the touch control layout. I mean what crackhead devised it? Definitely not intuitive. I wonder if the Pros are any better on the layout.

No, it actually is intuitive. You're able to forward a track and increase volume, with relatively more ease.

Nice - so compared to the Soundpeats H1 could I summarise that the T1XS has more background white noise which is most noticeable at low volumes (important to me since I mainly listen in bed), less deep bass, less midrange clarity, brighter/less smooth treble, slightly narrower soundstage and less precise imaging and goes slightly less loud (though still more than loud enough).

Yea pretty much! It’s close. And true fit wise the T1XS are more compact and ergonomic compared to the H1 which may work better for some 😊

@@pickyaudio Thanks, yes the fit of the H1 body was something I wasn't sure of. I really like the fit of the similarly shaped Mpow M30 (its sound is pretty good too even regardless of how cheap it is) and I have some wired KZ ZST which sound pretty good but never saw much use since a bit too big (and not quite enough bass) - my son has them now..and some Haylou GT1 Plus btw which I like but leak too much in bed (and have no volume controls) :-)

Wow that's a coincidence, I put those earbuds into my cart during the Ali sale and then read the FIIL T1 Pro was even better so I deleted them. I then looked outside my front door and there were my H1s to keep me happy. I think I had better unsubscribe in case you review the T1 Pro and go gaga over them and I shall be back on Ali again .. 😂 lol

@@pickyaudio it's infuriating I've given the HI's a good enough test on all different types of music and, whether my ears are different to everyone else's, but I'm disappointed. Against the 3 SEs they sound flat and almost lifeless. Guitars don't jump out of the mix like the 3 SEs, which seem a lot more dynamic. They're smoother but not as involving to listen to, especially in the midrange. I've tried different ear tips but it's always the same. I'm using Android and the connection is Apt-x active and I'm wondering if that's the problem although I can't see why. Maybe I should have kept the FIILs in my cart after all .. lol

Hot garbage = Fiil t1 xs: pop squeal disconnections. It doesn't just f up every half hour, it hurts your ears when it does. Terrible for phone calls no one can hear you unless you shout. Connects and disconnects by itself. It will even connect when the buds are closed in the case. Goes into transparency mode instead of hanging up a phone call, can't hang up phone in single ear mode at all. I could keep going. They are terrible. The soundcore have trouble staying in my ears but they actually do what you want them to do
