Yeah!!! I’m doing it 🎉. It’s a very tedious process for me using a lot of concentration. All good. I just hope I have left enough yarn for the cast off process. I read that it takes 12 times the length of the Shawl of yarn to save for the bind off. Is that your estimate??? This is my first time doing this process. Thank you in advance for your reply 🙏🏻

Thank you for this tutorial. I’m knitting a little child’s dress with four inches of lace at the hem. The finishing per the pattern is 3 rows of garter and regular or stretchy bind off. I’d like to bind off in the lace pattern, maybe with your pico bind off. Does this seem feasible, or even aesthetically right to do?

It's great you are feeling confident to put your own stamp on your project Emma, and from the sound of it I think it could look really lovely. I would suggest you do a little swatching - to include a bit of the lace border and then how you would transition that to the picot cast off, maybe with 1-few rows garter stitch in before you do the cast off. Maybe also try just going straight form the lace to the cast off too - have fun experimenting. It's worth taking the time to swatch as things don't always work out how you imagine they will. if you don't want to swatch, just try it out as you go and be prepared to frog it back if you're not keen - happy creating x

Very good & clear instructions, thank you! :) It seems somehow counterintuitive to be casting *on* stiches when you're supposed to be casting off, that's why I've had trouble wrapping my head round this method, I guess ;)
