These guys were 100% part of that scene. They were from Seattle and on Sub-Pop. The drummer still works for them today.

In general I am NOT a fan of anyone Kovering a KinKs song - this one is kinda fun because I like DRUMS LOL!!! I understand why bands cover kinks songs though - I loved to cover kinks song in bands too BUT as a listener and KinKs fan I am not usually a big fan for the most part of hearing anybody cover a KinKs song because they are so personal and more times than not the sentiment & meaning of the song that it was meant to have when Ray wrote it, is either totally lost, watered down & diminished or even changed and to me the thing that makes the kinks the greatest band there ever was or is, and Ray the greatest songwriter there ever was or is not just their sound it is what they are all about and stand for!

Ok, 👌 YFF had a massive song catalog. Big record collections and that sort of thing. They adore the Kinks as you do. Fun band, good times
