Joan Miller introduces an edition of Picture Page in 1936. Prior to this the BBC had carried out a period of tests and irregular programmes with which the first engineers and cameramen eased themselves into the demands of the new medium. One of these trial programmes was the first Picture Page, the only television feature which remained years later.
