Most will include stating your name, address, date, your situation, intention for activating the statue, outcome you like to see, and food offering or effort you promise to make to reach the outcome. The personal connection helps make the object meaningful and powerful.

Good question. I know the Taoist/Buddhist temple in Taiwan and Hong Kong have "specialist" to do it. I am not sure how it works in other countries. That is why I suggest creating your own ceremony. Clean th statue, state your intention, pick a lucky date to place the statue. The connection is the basis of activation. Everytime you see them, you are remined of your goals.

Copper is still metal so it is fine. Most of the statues in the market are plastic with golden paint. Those are not as powerful.
