What struck me about the beach ride you took us on, was how clean the beaches, the pathways, the roads, were. Maybe I'm too used to seeing graffiti, litter, cigarette butter, old tossed out gum, but it's so marvelous! Southern California has my perception scared.

Hello Laurie👋 The Beaches 🏖 of the Algarve are beautiful and pristine. 😎There are boat trips that sail around the coast visiting the caves and seeing strange rock formations. Sadly there is still a lot of graffiti in the nearby towns. 🙁

Yes definately more like this. Enjoyed your scooter ride. I live on the Mornington Peninsula at the bottom end of Australia and when it gets hot beaches are very crowded. I am amazed at the length of the board walk and like you love the old beach shacks

Just returned from the trip (drive) to Nova Scotia and Cape Breton...I was surprised how many beautifuly sandy beaches could be found on the East coast of Canada. The water temp was ab 18-20°C depending on the area, which is ' hot' for this climate. Your trip around Faro Isl. reminds me of my vacation.

Hi Andy,lovely area to relax after eating building dust all week!About 30 years ago I had my boat in same area,Culatra and up the Guardiana .You definitely take care of yourself putting in time to relax too.I am a bit older than you but still have not learned to look around at beautiful places that are near!

My Auntie owned a house on Faro Island. But she sold it just before many got knocked down as they had been built illegally I think I was 2 at the time so when I went to Portugal for a couple of summers as a teen I didn't get to enjoy it. @@blondguy I remember going fishing on the shore. Never caught anything but it was fun. I did think I caught something from the pier/jetty where the boats from Faro arrive at I thought I had caught something really big I dove in to find out what happened turns out it was the pier the hook got caught on a clump of barnacles 🤪🤣🤣🤣

The beaches are long and people spread out 😂 tourists tend to stay nearer the resorts. Mainly locals go to the island.

Been to the Algarve a few times from the UK and did some exploring, mainly by train. Could you when off on another of your fun jollies give us more on the location/area. Walking this board walk is so much more enjoyable Andy, It takes longer to do but in my opinion it's all round better to walk. Hope your video doesn't encourage too many scooters now. Well documented as it is a lovely island to visit. There is also another board walk all along the beach parallel to the road. 🙏

I walk all day and Ive done that walk many times. Scooter is fun and helps make these vids and it’d be a Long video if I walked 😵💫 The decking is access to the huts and most use mopeds or cycle on it. I don’t encourage anyone to do anything. If I was walking I’d walk along the beach much more fun. 👍

You can "creep" these types of videos in as often as you like and can. That dip in the water was great. What do you do with the camera and stick when you go swimming ? - use a floatie?

It is so beautiful! I am puzzled as to how all those beach houses/shacks are out there and there are no roads. The ocean is gorgeous and calm. I thought I saw an owl on a post at one point. Thank- you Andy for bringing me along! I enjoyed that beech adventure :)

Locals in the houses use the decking. That’s the purpose as well as casual walk etc. most have mopeds they use on there.

What an incredibly beautiful part of Portugal you have shown us here, and what a calm and peaceful environment you have there, a wonder that there are not masses of people bivouacking there. Yes. They are there for access to the houses etc but anyone can use them.

Faro is one of the busier towns. Mainly locals live there. Population down here is not very big but increases noticeably during July and August with holiday makers. Rarely traffic James. Hopefully it will stay that way for a long time 👍

Don’t forget it’s a scooter, I can jump up on walkway. I new I’d catch up and pass the other cars. Wouldn’t do it in car or bike. It had only changed for a couple of seconds and didn’t want to stop and play with camera.

Was that video literally in Faro Ireland? Those paths are amazing and extremely long! And the beaches are stunning! Im Portuguese and have never been on that Ireland. Only in the Ireland of Culatra, which is also beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

In Zurich they are a pest. We have several companies that rent them out, they are faster than bicycles, often with two people on them, naturally following rules even worse than Cyclists. Apparently they also have an obligation to park them in the worst possible places, so everyone else falls over them 🙄. Following Andys trip though I can see the appeal, and it is amazing how long the battery lasts.

Scooters are allowed. The decking is for local owners and they use mopeds. Everyone takes care including me.

I new I’d get to the other end before the last car so no delays. Still red light the other end. I drive regularly and more than aware of the bunching up. It’s a scooter and I could’ve jumped up on pavement. Not impressed you couldn’t have figured that out 😂😂

Just like the 2 cars you overtook could have done, based on your lame excuse, but they didn't out of common sense and respect for the laws of Portugal - is riding on the pavement legal and sensible. I did figure it out thanks, as I have a brain that shows respect for others and not for what I can gain from them
