In my experience, any vital hit with the muzzleloader brings down resting gators before they can drown. Even in the river and west side of the map, the muzzleloader will bring them down before they submerge. My go-to gator gun for sure. Already got a diamond and piebald in a few days.

funny thing, i use the .44 mag and they drop in one shot. just aim between the eyes headshots dont damage trophy rating

I have found the 12 gauge and 10 gauge slugs are very effective on gators

what I do with the muzzleloader is turn on manual reload and carry both ammo, when I fire I quickly open up the inventory and put the other ammo in and it reloads without the animation. seems like it takes a bit to do but it's still quicker than going through the reload animation.

Silver ridge peaks or Rancho, just blast every animal you see on either. Rancho is great for the pheasants, since there are a lot and they are really dumb and easy to hit with shotguns. Srp is good since there are so many animals every where you go. Though the easiest way to get cash is shooting geese on hirschfelden, but you need the goose hunter dlc

Nice Vid but let me correct you about one thing. You actually have to hit them in the vitals so spinal cord shots are not a good idea to go for. You were lucky that you hit the lung too :D

In my experience, you DO have to hit a vital on the gators. I shot a gator, only in the spine, missed the lungs, and I didnt get full score.

The Vital Organ requirement does matter for gators I shot a Lv9 gator in spine only and it didn’t give me the badge for vital making it a gold. 😞
