What i enjoyed most about the story was how, even though she was startled, she realized she was seeing the ghost of her grand mother and managed to control her fear. Based on how one of the missing pieces just appeared with a knock at the door, i can guess why her grand mother did not just destroy the puzzle - she had probably already TRIED, only to have the pieces keep reappearing. The one piece in the book was covered on the surrounding pages with protection wards, likely intended to keep that one piece from turning up if some one else tried to put the puzzle together, and the piece around grand mother's neck.. she took to the grave with her!
@GradKat5 жыл бұрын
Really good! But that girl broke several basic horror rules: never touch a funny old leather book with a string wrapped round it; never mess with a weird padlocked box you find in the attic; never open the front door in the middle of the night; and finally, don’t get the inside bit of your ear pierced, it looks awful.

Good job, great acting, story. Funny we get a character who is actually smart and doesn't finish the puzzle then her dippy friend does it. Only nitpick would be after Nonna screaming Don't never...I would have tucked that piece into the book or put it around my neck not left it next to the puzzle. About ten years ago, my sister in law passed at a young age(37) and every weekend for a month my wife and I would drive four hours to her house and stay the weekend to pack/clean it up. I can tell you it is an eerie feeling sleeping in the house of someone recently departed. This movie made me recall that.

I liked it. Interesting premise. Just few thoughts, if I may. 1- NO ONE packs that fast. 2- When a friend says "I brought the booze" and shows up with one stinking bottle of White Zin, you must immediately begin the process of finding actual friends. 3- You have the actual pic the puzzle is based on, and you *don't* notice the grim reaper? Never occurs to you at all???? Lastly, 4- Grandma had so many opportunities for this not to happen. a) Bury the damn thing in 100 different places, drop it in the ocean, or burn it. But nope. Granny had to keep it mysteriously locked in a chest that no one could resist opening, lead her to it by making sounds. Keep the diary warning about the puzzle intact. Lose the ONE damn page that expressely pleaded for this NOT to happen. Then show up all crazy like out of the Further to scare the living hell out of that chick, BRINGING WITH HER the single piece of the puzzle needed to finish it. Good job Grandma. You suck at this game.

Imaginary Winchester I feel like the monster was dropping hint to get her to release it. Bc really if the grandma didn’t want her complete the puzzle I’ve never make noise to make her curious enough to look in the attic. The box had a lock that was unlocked the piece magically appeared on the door step and she would have no reason to rip a page out of her own journal. Grandma showing up with the last piece around her neck was her goof even when she was trying to tell her “don’t ever finish it” If I was the granddaughter I’d put two and two together especially with the creature in the background with a message in a journal that looks like satanic
