Nosferatu is not only the show's most random moment, but its also the funniest ending in the show's history. Its funny if you get the reference because its so out of place, its funny if you have no clue who Nosferatu is, because it's even more nonsensical. It also caused a lot of people to discover one of the great classic films.

What I find interesting is the error in something smells is only on the season 2 dvd but when you watch it on tv or on demand the error is fixed

I'll just say that I was born in 2001, so I vaguely remember Nickelodeon's early-to-mid 2000s era, and seeing reruns of SpongeBob Seasons 1-3, and new episodes from early in Season 4 before converting to Disney Channel for most of my cartoons sometime around 2006-2007. However, since I didn't have a concept of "new episodes" or "reruns" at that young an age, I just group Season 1-4 together as my childhood SpongeBob seasons. A bit later, I came back and watched some later Season 4 + Season 5-7 episodes (bear in mind this was about 2010-2011, before flat-out hatred for the modern episodes pretty much blew up on the internet), and noticing that it was very different. With all that said, I still consider everything in Season 4 up to some point between Bummer Vacation and Born to be Wild as Semi-Classic SpongeBob.

Everytime you mention stuff about the "newer episodes" I need to tell myself you aren't caught up to season 9 b yet. I know you want to watch them in order for season reviews Pie Guy. But NB might want to check them out. I'll keep the recommendations short (but all the other episodes in this stretch are worth a watch). Married to Money, show's Mr Krabs in a sympathetic light and depicts a realistic situation of a teenage Girl getting a new mom (yes, it is Pearl) while still having strong animation and comedy. It also opens up with a Sea Bear attack (yes, that Sea Bear) The executive treatment, a return to the Patrick we all love with his stupidity delightfully charming and endearing. Not to mention the amazing ending that's another classic Patrick has the most common sense moment. It has plenty of visual gags. What's eating Patrick, another Patrick episode. This time it shows him entering a food eating contest to defend Bikini Bottom. This was one of the earliest moments to show the show is getting back on track. Patrick puts in effort and work because of how much the town is counting on him. Two Thumbs Down, take stuck in wringer, have the accident not caused by any character, show the town supportive of SpongeBob and how everyone (even Squidward) is concerned about him. Finally Tutor Sauce, the second episode of this stretch. Mr Krabs tries to teach SpongeBob how to drive and it does every single joke with that concept. Mr Krabs has no ill intentions and actually wants to teach him, with money not being a factor. As shown in the opening scene where he (gasps) gives Pearl Money without hesitation. Those are my top picks to check out but any of the episodes would be great. Sancturary, Fish Bowl, Mall girl Pearl, Idiot Sauce, Food Con castaways, Pinapple invasion, Lame and Fortune, Sold, Sandy's nutmare, the Sewers of Bikini Bottom, Squid plus one, Company Picnic, Sharks vs Pods, SponeBob LongPants, Patrick the Game and DittoBob CopyPants.

In my opinion,some of the best and most underated episodes are: Krab Borg:I love episodes where characters just overreact over absolutely nothing.A wonderful episode and just show how great spongebob and squidward are as a duo. Plankton's army:This episode is so underrated.I think this episode has a lot of good jokes,a well done story and that twist.THAT TWIST! Culture shock:This is in my opinion,the funniest episode of the show.I laughed so hard at this episode,that I didn't mind the story wasn't that good.It doesn't deliver that much in terms of plot,but the jokes are enough to make this a classic episode. Christmas who?:This is the best special in the entire series.The song is awesome,Patchy is .............tolerable,squidward is actually likable. And the comedy is great!

Here's my part 2 of...what may be the lower comment. Having gained confidence in himself Spyro and Crash go off to local movie theater to the showing of "Skylanders: Galaxy War Part 1" Spyro and crash look to find seatings. Spyro: Pardon me! A group of Underworld ghosts catch the ghastly stench of Spyro's breath and die again, floating back to the Underworld. Crash: They're just being polite! Spyro starts to get nervous. He leans over to a oldish Mabu lady right next to him. Spyro: Hi. I'm really ugly. Both here and possibly in the film, but you should enjoy the movie anyway! Getting the full impact of the stench from his sundae breath her face shrivels up and gets burned up to a crisp! Spyro starts getting fearful. He leans over to a Gillman setting across from him and gently pokes his back. Spyro: Sir, I hope my horrible ugliness doesn't bother you in the slightest! Gillman: Not at all little purple dude! Gets hit by the breath. Makes a bizarre comically contorted expression. Gillman: DEUAGIHAHHAAHIGHAAHIH!! Spyro starts shielding his face with his wings as he starts bawling. Crash: What's wrong? You got pride remember!? Spyro turns around and unshields himself. His features are shriveled up from crying to hard. Spyro: I didn't always have this repulsive exterior! It's hard to be prideful when the modern public sees you as an worthless freak! Right than something snapped inside Crash like the times the heads of Ativision canned his potential reboots in favor of gory shooters. He stood right up with his eyes and fur bristling with rage! Crash: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE!?! Just because he looks and acts different now that gives you the right to treat him like an old disgusting meal!? You supported me all these years why is HE ANY DIFFERENT?!? Crash grabs Spyro and lifts him up for the entire audience to see. Crash: THIS...THIS IS the new HORRIFIC face of your beloved Sony mascot! YOU POOR FOOLS JUST HAVE TO DEAL WITH IT!! Everyone including Spyro is frozen in shock. The stench leaks out of Spyro's open jaws as Crash continues to vent. Crash: LOOK AT IT! LOOK AT IT!! LOOK AT IT!!! I WANT YOU ALL TO LOOK AT IT!!!! Everyone in the entire theater runs away screaming due to the smell but mostly because of the rabid insane mutant Bandicoot. Ironically a scene with Spyro in it was about to play. Spyro: Gosh you sure gave me goosebumps there Crash! I just wish people could appreciate the new me for what I really am. Hey thanks for standing up for me. Crash: Well all that screaming has made me hungry! Let's get some popcorn! Spyro:We can't get popcorn Crash! Your riot act combined with my ugliness made every employee evacuate the building! Crash: Darn it! It's Sunday evening! I gotta have something to eat to go along with my favorite show! Game of Box's! At the mention of the word Sunday a sudden thought entered Spyro's head. Spyro: Hey Crash, we could share whats left of my sundae. Spyro pulls his highly unappetizing sundae out of.....I have no idea were. Crash: Oh, that looks good! Give it to me now! Spyro: Are you serious? It tastes worse than a raw sheep! Well it's your funeral! Crash doesn't listen. His stomach thinking for his brain, he gobbles the whole nasty thing up! Suddenly hes delivered with a nasty pain in his stomach. Crash: ERRRGH! I have to go let this thing out! After the nasty happened in the toilet Crash is washing his hands next to the Skylander Pop Fizz. Crash: Hey man there's no soap in this sink can I borrow yours? Pop Fizz: STAY BACK! Don't come near me! Crash: But I just want..... Pop Fizz: Here take my money! Just leave me alone! Pop Fizz hands Crash some gold and runs off crying from Crash's new horrid breath. Crash: All I wanted was soap. Wait....Oh No! Crash gets a good look a himself in the mirror. Crash: NOOOO!! I'VE CAUGHT THE UGLY! Later Spyro finds Crash alone in a stall crying with a bag over his head. Spyro: Crash, whats the problem? Did it hurt your belly that bad? Crash: What's the problem? What's the problem?!? Your stupid sundae gave me the ugly that's what! Crash rips the bag off his head and Spyro gasps in revulsion. Crash looks as scary as he did in his Skylanders reveal! Crash: What am I supposed to do now? I can't go around looking like THIS!! Spyro: Just remember there is power in pride! Crash: Well that's easy for you to say! But I was one of the beautiful people! How is my fanbase going to react to this?! GASP! What if my sister finds out!? Wait I don't have a sister, NO YES I DO! Or was that my girlfriend? I don't even know anymore! Spyro is plugging his snout from Crash's horrid breath. Spyro:Ugh Crash! You....you....you....YOU STINK!! We all know how it ends.

I'm almost 24 in the current time, and I grew up on the original Spongebob. I was a year away from preschool when it started, and I instantly enjoyed the show, I actually stopped watching after season 8. I still need to go back and catch up on 9 and 10, although I'm leery to do that.

I started watching the show at seasons 5/6/7 Bc of my age, and enjoyed those, but me and my friends caught on very early on from watching reruns and seeing when each episode aired, that it was the older episodes that were the true legends. We would always quote and joke about lines from the older seasons. Seasons 1-3 are the seasons that stick out in my mind, despite not watching them when they aired.

Season 4 was airinf when I grew up, but I always preffered the first three seasons. I had the GBA Video of Bubble Blowers, Plankton, Jellyfishing, and Ripped Pants. And I probably looped those four episodes on car trips around 300 times each.

I grew up with season 6-7 and I didn't many of the episodes except for episodes like Squidward in Tikiland and Toy Store of Doom When I was young I didn't see the mean spirited actions of the episodes like Choir Boys I saw the clear lack of humour in episodes like that I did for some reason like That Sinking Feeling though When I went back to seasons 1-3 and even 4-5 I loved all of it I'm so glad I was shown seasons 1-5 eventually and not just 6+

Did the episode Walking Small strike anyone else as being oddly post-movie like? The tone, the humor, the bizarre visuals (particularly the ice cream scene), the Plankton plot and Spongebob's slightly more idiotic personality makes it fit in way more Season 5 than Season 1. Anyone else agree?

5:21 I started in the Post-Movie-Area. Sadly I can't remember me watching SpongeBob when I was younger. This is not only the reason why talking to me about this will be pretty boring. I had DvDs where mostly, there was just Season 3 or Season 4 in it. DvDs like "Sponge For Hire", "Karate Island" and "Whale of A Birthday" so I only remember watching SpongeBob Season 3 and Season 4. I was a very big fan of SpongeBob. I can remember watching "The Splitter" and for a long time I thought that this was Season 4, because... how I sayed, I only remember me watching Season 3 and 4, and never something from Season 6. I dont know how my opinion on this Episode was, but the line from Squidward "Sorry, The rules are the rules" was very long in my head. Currently I dont saw many Season 6/7 Episodes. Season 8 was the Season where I dont watched SpongeBob anymore because I.. ""grew up""...... yeah But now I'm watching SpongeBob again, and I have buyed the second and the third Season because those are incredible Seasons.

the trash throwing scene is probably the most relatable scene in fiction ever for me, because l'm terrified to death of dogs, and my neighbors have a giant mentally demented ultra violent dog who occasionally breaks through the fence between the two houses, so every time my dad sends me to throw out the garbage at night l run as fast as l can so dog won't get me and l always think back to that scene

I was born when the show started, but I watched Cartoon Network growing up until I got into Spongebob and Nickelodeon around 2005-2006. But I'm pretty sure I've watched all of the episodes in the entire show minus some from Season 9.

I was not alive for the first three seasons. That is probably why I like Cephalopod Lodge and Pineapple Fever. But I hate A Pal for Gary and One Coarse Meal. Also Walking Small is one of my favorites too!

Plankton's Pet and Copybob Dittopants. Both are amazing episodes, have some great comedy, and are honestly top 20 material for the whole show. (Copybob is easily top 5.)

I don't think it's one of the best seasons- I'm thinking it's more along the lines that people are so happy that Spongebob is good again that they're overreacting a bit. As I said, it IS good. But I wouldn't say as good the original three or four seasons.

There's a lot of adult words that they mention on 90's Nickelodeon shows that I don't know how they got away with. In Something Smells, when addressing the people in the marching band, SpongeBob says "Hi, penis" at one point. In Rugrats Go Wild, when the parents realize that the babies are missing again and are running and screaming around, you can hear a faint line from Didi that says "Damn it."

The interesting thing is that I was born a year after the show started, yet I don't feel that different from you. I didn't really watch the show beyond maybe season 7(?), but I am very familiar with your era of SpongeBob. My brother and I would watch the first three seasons so often as children. One thing I notice is that I'm not keen enough to really list what season episodes are from. The show blends together for me with the first four seasons, five through seven (?), and then the new episodes that I haven't seen.

I know everyone has their own time but I still personally think it's better to have grown up with it fully. Instead of having to play catch up because you were born too late. Especially since the show later declined.
