I was watching Read Timmer on the Florida coast on a point West of where the eye hit, earlier this afternoon and he mentioned the smell of fish there, and small bait fish were jumping and landing on the beach. The water was several feet higher than normal. Pretty strange.

From what I understand a lot of people reckon the flesh is too "mushy" texture-wise, a bit strong tasting and they do havea fair few small bones, so a lot of fishermen don't rate them for eating. But I've seen plenty of people try them out for fish-cakes and the like and enjoy them
