I would read a cook book if Pierce wrote it. His evolution from Red Rising to Lightbringer is amazing. I really can't wait for what he wants to do after sci fi.

Read Red Rising after hearing the author of The Poppy War gush over it. Since I loved the Poppy War series I immediately started reading Red Rising, knowing nothing about it at all. Just finished Lightbringer. Loved the series so much. Both series can give you serious stress though since they torture their main characters so much. When things are going well you get paranoid because you know any second the tables will turn in a heart wrenching way. So you have to keep reading so things can be set “right” again. Then you wonder if it is right after all but don’t really care because you love the main characters you will follow them into battle no matter what.

I'm always impressed by the number of books authors are willing to write before getting published. I don't know if I would have it in me to go through seven. I would still continue to world-build and write scenes set in those worlds with characters I find interesting as that's what I love; I just don't know if I would still bother trying to form it all into a book. I'll spend the rest of my life drawing fictional maps as my hobby. Also, I agree with the Arcane animation idea. However, I also want more arcane-type projects in general. I want more pushing the boundaries of what animation can do and playing with style to enhance the story. (Plus you can do some really cool things with animated maps)

You guys should give historical fiction a go. It is my go-to after fantasy and sci-fi. The Warlord Chronicles or The Warlord Trilogy is a series of three novels about Arthurian Britain written by Bernard Cornwell. Could give you a bridge series between fantasy and historical fiction.

This paired with the massive action set pieces, the absolutely massive amount of diverse locations, the massive cast, and the physical size difference between the colors are big reasons as to why I believe it’d be best adapted to animation and live action would be difficult. If they had heaps of money, loads of time, and Pierce had full creative control I think they could pull off live action

Thank you guys again for introducing me to Pierce Brown! I probably wouldn't have checked him out without you two. And as for you publishing books, you could always write in secret and publish under pen names. That would give you the same experience that everyone else has, and it would probably teach you more on how to get published than using this platform. I think the biggest problem would be the discouragement when - I mean IF - you're rejected (he-he), and the temptation to use the platform. It could become a situation of trying to decide between pushing a button that publishes your book with a high chance of total failure, and one that instantly gives you a small amount of success but teaches you very few lessons. At least, that's what would likely happen to me. I hope you guys do write and publish your books eventually. Could you share what kind you plan on writing? It's okay if you want to keep it to yourselves though; it'll just be a bigger surprise 😊

Gotta say….hungers game in space is such an INCORRECT way to describe red rising. It’s just not the same story at all 😭😭😭😭 Rich HOW??? There are similarities but c’mon man. The institute’s reason for existing and how it functions is NOT the same as the hunger games. They don’t even have to kill each other after the culling. It’s about conquering through means of strategy and adaptability. Hunger games is just last one alive wins.

Sure, it’s got differences but come on. The institute is clearly a twist on the games in hunger games. He even said he wrote it more YA esque to get it published. I absolutely love the series but hunger games in space is a pretty fair comparison for the first book

@@justinjosie5417 it’s not though. I’ve read and enjoyed both series. It’s just not 💀. A battle royal type event does not make the entire story similar. If anything you would say they both draw influence from any story that involves overthrowing a govt type of thing
@justinjosie5417
@justinjosie5417 6 ай бұрын
@@reallifeshisui6644 bro, I never said the entire story is similar. I said the institute is similar to the games. And it is. When the largest part of the story is the institute it’s pretty fair to say it’s comparable to hunger games. Yes, they have different rules and motives and functions but it’s still a bunch of teens fighting in an arena to find out who’s the best. I’m not even talking shit on red rising. But yes, they are very similar in the battle royale aspect

@@justinjosie5417 aight aight in the context of the only considering the first book I agree. Just hate that it gets boiled down to that when books 2-6 are so much more than that. Pierce takes it in such a crazy direction especially with the characters. I do sometimes wish that he wrote the first book a bit better to fit in with the rest, but I see how not writing it as YA type thing would’ve made it hard to get published
