When this song first came out, I was really messed up. I was self harming every chance I got some time to myself, I was depressed and isolated myself from everyone, I had to move in with my relatives as my parents were unable to care for us, I gave up on my hobbies because they didn’t interest me the same way they used to anymore, and I was contemplating suicide every. Single. Day. Here I am 4 years later, handling depressive episodes here and there; spending time with my friends and family again; together with my best friend; I got back into drawing and gaming and I have a blast every time; I go for a walk every day to admire the scenery and fresh air around me.I realize there’s more to life than what I thought before. This song came up on Spotify last night as I was about to sleep and as soon as I recognized that intro, I felt a tight squeeze in my chest and all those emotions from long ago hit me like a wave. I cried not because I was sad, but because I was able to overcome a lot of obstacles as well as my scary thoughts and mentality to be where I am today. I know it gets repetitive hearing it from many others, but if it weren’t for the bands that I’ve been listening to since the age of 12, I don’t know where I’d be. I’d hear all the stories of how each band member went through personal hardships and how they were able to get through it and that gave me hope. I don’t know if anyone will come across this comment, but just know that everything will eventually fall into place and that the universe will always have something good in store for you. And to Pierce The Veil and all the other bands I’ve listened to these last 11 years, thank you for all that you do. Your lyrics and sound continue to bring comfort to me and millions of other listeners. We love you.

Pierce The Veil is that type of band who actually spends time on their songs and work on it to awe us. 3 years wait and it was worth it. Just like their 1st to 2nd album. It was a three year wait, but the wait was worth it.

LIJ4Productions they just strictly toured for about two years after the first album, i remember reading a press release saying they were bummed they had to go to the studio to make a new record (which the label made them do) because they just wanted to play more live shows. so yeah they definitely didn't spend 3 years writing the second album. either way im excited for this.
