Its just that now people may see this video and do it even with the disclaimers. Also when she said she wasnt using gloves because she was piercing herself, she was totally wrong. Its not a matter of if their your hands, its simply that you have a higher risk of infection without gloves. I will say that she did a good job and was pretty sanitary, but she did touch plenty of things after washing her hands..

Chloe xoxo Yikes.. Well first off, you probably shouldn’t have pierced your ear with a cheap earring. It should have been made of pure stainless steel, and at best, 925 sterling silver. The better quality the earring, the lower chances of infection. Now, if your ear hole is clogged with black patches, you need to rinse it out with hydrogen peroxide and/ or rubbing alcohol. This will clean the hole out. Be aware though, if you decide to take the earring out, the hole may close very quickly. You may not be able to replace the earrings efficiently, so you would most likely have to repierce your ears and put in a high quality earring in instead of the cheap ones you used beforehand. If you decide to leave the cheap ones in, and not have to repierce your ears, just make sure to consistently clean them with a germ-killing solution. If they start hurting or swelling, take the earrings out. It’s not worth risking a bad infection that’ll take you to the doctor. Best of luck

I really really really don't want this to come across as hateful, I think whether or not you decide to do your own piercings is entirely up to you (it's your body so it is your right to decide what to do with it) but PLEASE wait until hospitals and are under less pressure. Once all of this is over go for it, but right now is the last time that hospitals need someone coming in because of an infected body modification.

First, stop touching piercings! It doesn’t matter WHO did them. They aren’t supposed to be touched. Second, USE GLOVES. It doesn’t matter who’s hand it is, if you’re getting a piercing you need gloves. Third, after you wash your hands, use a paper towel to dry your hands. The fabric towel could have bacteria because it’s in a bathroom. Fourth, wound wash isn’t ideal. It has a lot of alcohol which dries out the new piercing. Sea salt soaks are the way to go. I don’t mean this as shaming. I see you’re trying your best to be safe!

A botched ear piercing can cause keloids and part of your ear being cut off to avoid further decay. A botched septum can cause a permanently deviated septum. I’m not going to tel you not to pierce yourself (obviously I can’t stop you) but for future references if you do plan on doing more than one piercing at a time please try to keep it at a minimum of 3 only because you body might have trouble healing more than 3 at once.♥️ of course your body in particular might heal better than others but just word of advice.

Hey love I think the first piercing you did ( the triple helix) is pierced alittle to close to the edge so just make sure to monitor it to see if it starts rejecting. No hate just don’t want you to scar if it’s start to reject. You can do everything right and piercings can still reject based on your body.

Not hating, I think you did a really good job in this video. But I noticed that before you washed your hands, you were touching your industrial. You’ve probably heard this a million times before, but don’t touch them while they’re healing! It may have been why you got a hypotropic scar or why your top forward helix got infected. Also, make sure to keep your hair off it as much as possible to help avoid infections.

i would love to pierce myself but i have a TERRIBLE pain tolerance and i’ve never wanted a piercing enough to actually put a needle through my ear or nose or whatever😂 i had a terrible experience with my first regular ear piercing so to this day i’m too scared to get more cause i got it done in claire’s 🤮 and so it got infected in like 3 days

This may have been said but it’s better to not use qtips! No tea or shade or literally anything, but when I have gotten piercings in the past (regardless of where they are from) they would always get infected. But I just got another piercing and the piercer told me that the qtips can leave fibers in the piercing and this is the most common source of infection! I use just h2ocean spray and I’ve had no issues with my new piercing and it’s healing way faster! Maybe since you have gotten infections in the past you could try this!
