Pierre luc Dubois is as selfish as u can get. It’s all about him. No one else. He quit in Columbus. Quit in Winnipeg and seems to be doing nothing in LA. I quess the sun and relaxing is what he wants. It’s his life. People in Columbus and Winnipeg are glad he’s gone. Los Angeles will feel the same soon. He’s got the money now. So why even try. He played everyone perfectly for himself. Way to go Pierre.

@Wtsup69 he didn't quit in Winnipeg. He straight up told them that he wasn't interested in extending with them. He kept playing and playing well! So that gave them the opportunity to do a sign and trade and they got a great return for him. win-win. Would you rather him do what Tavares did to the Islanders? String them along, tell them how great it is there and that you want to stay. Only to go on to unrestricted free agency and sign elsewhere, thereby losing him for nothing!

It’s validating to see that he’s consistently inconsistent wherever he plays. I was happy when he came then disappointed when he didn’t want to stay in Winnipeg. It’s too bad, I think he’s a great player….when he wants to be.

It's a universe I'll never understand but as someone who has been in the general workforce almost 30 years I always wonder if a job on an NHL team is just like any other job where you pretty much hate half the people you work with, indifferently tolerate the other half, and only have a handful of close confidants you trust and work well with. Every corporation I've worked for always referred to us as a "team" and our goal was essentially to "win," we just didn't have such dramatic, instantly measurable stakes as a sports team. ...and there's always one guy EVERYBODY hates.

I've worked with rugby teams (helping guys move from playing life to post-playing careers) and it is very much like this from what I've seen. What's also interesting is that this is just another day at the office for a lot of these guys. Perfectly summed up by Bryzagalov's "It's only game. Why you heff to be mad?" They have have the equivalent of KPIs, they have to a wear certain clothes in order to be appropriate for work (suit, uniform, PPE), they have their own kind of CPD, they're interested in stuff outside of work hours, they sometimes hate their job, they worry that it's the only thing they know how to do or that they'll be stuck where they are forever (or that they won't). And there are definitely bosses and colleagues that suck the life out of you.

Columbus didn't deserve the greatness of Pierre Luc Dubois!
