except that match was able to generate much more views than any stanley cup finals in the history... So no he wasnt right. Not to mention the fact that if you say something isnt popular cause you dont know anyone who watches doesnt make it unpopular. For example i as a european know noone who watches nfl, nba, baseball etc... yet it still doesnt change the fact that it is popular. Do you watch cricket? is it popular in the usa? it isnt yet. more than 2 billion people watch it. Do you watch soccer? is it popular in the usa? not as much as the nfl yet more than 1.5 billion people watch the world cup final and around 5 billion watched the tournament at some point...

This video highlights how Sports Journalism isn't a real thing. And it isn't necessarily the fault of the journalists, they just aren't allowed to ask the tough questions. Nor should the players be forced to endure them, being that they play a GAME for a private entity.
