Thanks for putting this video together, Pierre! I know for experienced drivers is common sense and second nature, but it helps having someone explain these things with painstaking details like you've done here. For example, I never made the connection but now it makes sense why drivers must stop twice at a stop sign: First for pedestrian and second for oncoming traffic. Now it also makes sense why drivers only ned to stop once at a all-way/4-way stop sign: First for pedestrians, and once you know it's safe to go ahead you simply continue because it's hopefully clear whose turn it is (i.e., first in-first out and if there's a tie, the driver on the right goes first).

Please always stop before the stop line. No matter if it's an all-way or regular. Just stop before the stop line if you want to avoid points being taken off during your exam.

No, at an ALL WAY STOP sign you stop only once. Vehicles go turn by turn at such intersections. If there are any vehicles already at this intersection then it's their turn. As a general rule whoever approaches the intersection first goes first. So when you're stopped before the stop line you're making sure that the intersection is clear, there are no vehicles on the other 3 sides. Once you're sure it's your turn you may proceed, no rush.

Sorry for the late response. First come, First serve. If the drivers reached at the same time, Traffic on the Right has the right-of-way. It is not a full stop were you have to do 2 full stops and then as many after that to clear the path. If you want to make sure that you can see thats fine. Its a stop for everyone but we must also go through it carefully because we all know that some people just run a stop sign.

@@PierrePaulDrivingSchool So if we are approaching the all stop intersection and we see that stopping at the line will make our car invisible, we roll past that stop line, without stopping there, and instead do our stop at the area where we are visible? We don't have to worry that we are rolling over the stop line? Just wanna feel confident about that.

no for the all way stop sign, stop a lil after the white line then when it’s your turn to go, GO! But still look around while you’re still moving, don’t stop. For the regular stop sign, stop before the white line, count 1,2 then slowly go, look around make sure no cars are coming then go! Hopefully that makes sense.

I don't know if you mentioned it but something I struggle with is I don't know if I've stopped at the proper distance from the limit line. When I'm getting ready to stop at a stop sign, how do I know I've stopped before the limit line? During my driving lessons, I've stepped on it a few times and I know that would be an automatic fail.

Yeah I'm confused too, and I have my test March 30th 😬. I believe we are supposed to stop before the stop line, then slowly pull up in the crosswalk, look around and then proceed.

Just like at 6:57. That’s too far in the street. Those care on your left is they right… they have the right of way. Yes they may stop for you but u stopping in the intersection. I’m just saying all this cus I’m a beginner driver and I stopped completely in the intersection 3 times now. Luckily I’ve been lucky but I know it was wrong.
