Following Piers Morgan's interview with Ben Shapiro off the back of his success with anti-hip hop track Facts with rapper Tom MacDonald, Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by Tom to discuss the furore and backlash the song has received.
Tom tells Piers why he doesn't think the song is cultural appropriation and suggests the hip hop community is 'hypocritical'.
Piers is then joined by DJ Vlad and Talib Kweli to discuss whether Tom and Ben's track is offensive, with Piers pointing out there doesn't seem to be as much outrage over John Legend rewriting the lyrics to 'Baby It's Cold Outside'.

The Creator of everything is : " الله " , and He created us to worship Him alone, and in order to teach us how to worship Him, He sent prophets like " Noah, Abraham Moses, Jesus, " peace be upon them, and the last of the Messengers is Muhammad, may الله prayers and peace be upon him. Therefore, to enter Paradise and to survive punishment , must follow the last of the Prophets and Messengers, mohammed ﷺ ..We also believe in all the heavenly books such as : The Bible , the torah , the zabor ... Which " ALLAH الله " revealed to his prophets and messengers ، But it has changed and distorted. Therefore, " الله " sent Muhammad ﷺ with the " Qur’an “ God’s Preserved Words” to restore the previous religions to the truth. There is a lot of evidence that indicates that the Qur’an is a miracle ... We mention for example: its rhetorical and linguistic miracle, its scientific miracle, as it talked about scientific facts that have been discovered now only after technological development, just as the Qur’an talked about historical facts that they will happen and have already occurredMost of the current discoveries, in all fields, are present and mentioned in the Qur’an 14 centuries ago .The biggest sin in Islam is "shirk " polytheismFor example, to worship Jesus This is a shirkWhoever worships other than God "Allah الله " is in the hell .We love and believe in all the prophets and messengers , but worship is only for " ALLAH الله " Like prayer and asking for forgiveness and mercy are only for " Allah الله " .whoever become Muslim all sins are forgiven by " ALLAH الله"He is like a new page, so he should be keen on doing good deedsBecause heaven is the abode of bliss , pleasure , And everything your soul desires and what " الله ALLAH" has prepared for its people is beyond imaginationThe five pillars of Islam: Shahada, establish prayer, Zakat, fasting Ramadan, and Hajj. The Pillars of Faith: It is the belief in God "Allah الله " , His angels, His books, His messengers, the Last Day, and Predestination " Qadar " .A free person is a Muslim , by his servitude to " الله ALLAH ", is liberated from everythingTo become a Muslim, the first thing to do is to say the " shahada " testimony :" I bear witness that there is no god for worship except " ALLAH الله " and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger "Learn about " Islam " to know the true purpose of your existence in this life , and you know how to worship the one who created your heart , any question about Islam I can help you " insha allah " . Especially at the present time, you can download an application that reminds you of the 5 prayers times And give you the direction of the qiblah this after saying testimony " shahada " _ Share this with others to know the truth

If you take the time to understand the cultures history you will understand like every other popular genre in music like rock for example, they tend to devolve or digress into the mainstream and loose their essence. This is the case for hip hop. There is no denying how destructive the current mainstream hip hop scene is. However, it would be interesting to understand why it is so and if alternatives exist.

When has Tom ever once blamed rap for his addiction issues? That's a straight lie. He said and says that it's a bad influence on kids and people because it GLORIFIES that lifestyle!

sometimes it’s glorified, but more often than not it’s just a brutally honest telling of a person’s life experiences. many rappers who struggle with addiction write lyrics about being trapped in that cycle, and how much suffering it can bring. that allows anyone else who has had that experience to relate to the music. just like many gangster rappers back in the day weren’t glorifying violence, they were telling violent stories from their own lives. the violence was a byproduct of their upbringing and surroundings. and yet other people in those circumstances could relate to the music. they also saw how it was for someone to make it out of that life, Biggie always rapped about how he used to be caught in the cycle of violence but rap was a way out for him, and a way to provide for his daughter and his mother. Biggie often celebrated no longer having to be involved in violence in his music. but most of the violent lyrics were again often referring to the violence as something they wished they could escape. you did have a lot of young people misunderstanding that message and associating violence with being cool, just like today you have young people associating drugs with being cool because their favorite rappers have music about struggling with addiction. i’ll admit that some rappers straight up glorify things like violence and drug use, but i think they too misunderstand why so much of hip hop’s subject matter deals with heavy topics like that. it would be like a female rapper making music about how she used to be a sex worker but rap allowed her to get away from that life and how terrible it was, and then everyone thinks she’s glorifying prostitution and completely misses the message.

so when talib or his "friends" write a socially conscious verse critizing the cultural debachety in todays world thats ok, but when tom writes a socially conscious verse critizing the exact same thing, its not.….becasue talib does not see tom in the same way he sees himself…notice how he makes a point of mentioning every single persons race he talks about…for him its not only the 1st thing you notice, thats all he notices.

100% it's pretty funny to watch them get so mad that their narrative is challenged and that someone speaking out against it gets this much support. He makes it all about race, plus he has all of his facts wrong. He sees what he wants to see and is mad that people as a whole are finally realizing that the world is changing in a direction he doesn't like.

“I don’t rap about materialism, misogyny, I don’t do any of that. So I’m the exception to the rule” So rapping about that stuff is the standard in hip hop? And isn’t that what he was arguing against?

Okay fine maybe some rappers leave the bad stuff out but you are absolutely on drugs if you don't think the vast majority of rap talks about this kinda of shit. Demeaning towards women, drugs, guns, gangs, violence is way more prevelant in rap than any other music type & it's not even close.
