Thank you Brian for stating the danger of re-writing history. Human behaviour continues to evolve but if we ignore history, how on earth do we assess how far we've come? Thank you for this interview. I've been a fan since seeing Brian in the tv series - Therese Raquin.

I loved Brian Cox decades before Succession. Always stood out in any scene in any movie you was ever in before usually always playing secondary actors but there is something about him. Yes a humility in the humanity and a power combined with the trend of nostalgia and sentimentality can't explain it all but nice to see him having him doing so well and so fit inspired

Warning for a probably unpopular opinion: but according to me all what has been said here about wokeness, shaming, cancel culture and mishaps in politics in the UK and USA boils down to the fact that social media has given regular people too much of a voice. Take any topic, and immediately everybody has an opinion based on fragments and speculation, shares it, forwards it until you have self fueling bubble of polarized nonsense to which others have to react in order to stay on board. Trump is a master of igniting this sort of stuff.

YES!!!! I have been trying to come to a conclusion why everything is fucked up at the moment and it's because EVERYONE now has a voice. And there's so many uneducated, immature, ignorant, angry people that now have a platform. Social media - for all it's benefits - is a cancer. I grew up in the 80's and 90's before the internet and life was so much simpler. People's minds are now being filled with shit on a daily basis, and it just creates anger. My friend who's a psychologist in his 50's said that he's noticed a big change in the past couple of decades in patients with anger issues. When we're constantly bombarded daily by conflict online, it makes perfect sense.
