I think it's such a great conversation around the AFL bringing awareness to many different causes. Eg. Gendered violence, raising awareness for MND, Sir Doug Nicholls Round, ANZAC round. There's the police game between Hawthorn and St Kilda. They also spoke about Road awareness that day. There's Richmond's Alannah & Madeline Foundation game and they're the ones that are off the top of my head! If you can raise awareness to a large group of people about things that are important and impact Australians, it's a no brainer! For those that get sick of it - it's clearly a lack of understanding and that's just sad. But let's be real, you can't force all people to see and comprehend. Thoroughly enjoy this podcast and conversations had arising from it! Also, hearing someone say noggin' is the bomb. 🤣

Great show guys! Loved your goal Mason and it was awesome to see you shushing the D-baggers fans!! The story about the Lions first gamer getting Maccas before the match against Gold Coast was hilarious! I have to respectfully disagree with what you guys were saying earlier in regards to the game creating awareness about DV. I feel there is far too much activism, pandering and commercialisation in our game. I can appreciate raising money for charities via ticket sales and putting up posters around stadiums about societal issues, but we have to draw a line somewhere. I understand the AFL is a platform that reaches people and there is incentive to use it to bring attention to these issues, but I feel we are doing the job of our highly paid elected representatives who should be leading the way in addressing society's problems. Sporting matches are some of the few outlets we have from all the stresses, anxieties and demands of everyday life. Let's just bounce the ball and leave politics to politicians! Anyways still an awesome podcast as always!! Looking forward to seeing what you bring to the next game against the Eagles, Coxy! I reckon they will be hungry after last week. FIngers crossed we get the choccies! Should be a good match!

Just wish Mason Cox would kick more often rather than handballing to some teammate who often is in no better position.

Great clunk Mason. Good luck next week as the only forward with a half decent record against McGovern and Barass.

I didn't know there used to be no point post's. They put them in to avoid so many draws! Which is soccer's main problem.. The AFL would be not as big if soccer had something like no goalie or bigger goals! They did consider it in the 1960s. !

The biggest controversy of the weekend was, the 15 metre rule. It has to be dropped from the game because umpires definitely cannot accurately measure it. Great show guys. Hey Mas, spend some time this week kicking through the big sticks lol. GoPies.

the afl is a massive platform and for people to get mad they decided to use that to bring awareness to the 20+ women who have had their lives taken by men this year alone is just gross. it’s always the ‘don’t being politics into the afl’ or ‘every week it’s something different’ but, how negligent would it be for the afl to not use their platform to at least start a conversation and have people take even one extra second to think about the message? thank you to you both to also recognising the importance of this message!! 🫶🏼
