Around 3100 total cows, heifers and calves, 1650 milking currently. Rolling herd average around 29500 lbs. 24 full time employees.

Would it be worth it to spray foam insolate the roof of the heffer barn ?

My dad and I discussed this recently, that's something we'd like to do in the future. I think it would help keep the barn cooler in the summer as well as warmer in the winter.

As beef farmer in the UK 🇬🇧,,all that steel+concrete drives the temperatures down....Its probably warmer outside...Crazy..

If the outside temp warms up really quickly it might be warmer outside, but even without this barn being insulated it can be 40° F warmer inside the barn. This morning it was -18°F, -35°F with the wind chill, inside the barn it was probably around 15°F. The wind protection alone keeps it significantly warmer inside.
