Hydraulic piezometers consist of a porous filter enclosing a reservoir of water, which is separated from a pressure gauge by flexible, water-filled tubes. The tubes are used to circulate water through the system, removing air and ensuring that the reservoir remains full of water.
Geotechnical Observations’ flushable piezometer is a hydraulic piezometer that can measure positive and negative pore-water pressures.
Piezometer is a monitoring instrument of ground improvements
Installation procedure:
These are the new piezometer that will be installed at site for monitoring ground improvement. At first, we unboxing it. This is the piezometer head. We will keep it in water for saturation until bubble stop, at least 2 Hrs.
This is our site area, where piezometer shall be installed
Then we marked the location where piezometer will be installed
After that drilling machine start drilling up to required depth
Now washing the hole for bring out remaining soil
After drilling finish, we tie piezometer by rope and taken initial reading
Then the piezometer head we had removed, now we are setting the piezometer head and wrapping by geotextiles
Then we installing piezometer into the hole and keep it at required depth
After piezometer reached at required depth, we hold the piezometer and filling the hole by sand and clay ball up to top level
We used PVC pipe and fennel for sand filling
After Piezometer installed, we have given protection barrier for protect the Piezometer
With this presentation, we would like to introduce the installation of "piezometers",
