Totally not, they look crazy and original. Once you think about character designs nowadays in cartoons they have to keep some artstyle standard; but this show has their identity in every single prop or lineart, which is incredible how they let this show be drawn like this instead of sticking to a more regular style.

Had this show come out in the 90s/mid-2000s era, it woulda had a better chance to cook. This is why I cannot stand beaurocratic meddling in this industry, if left untouched "Pig, Goat, Banana, Mantis" could've been the next big hit after "The Loud House" before it turned to crap. In a way, it'd be Nick's own "Adventure Time" type cartoon due to the wild adventures these four have and I pesonally liked how in every episode where each character does their own thing, it eventually ties them all together into one cohesive story. Hopefully the creator can bring this back but under a different network or just revamp the show on youtube.

I honestly had soft spot for this cartoon series, yes… it’s not perfect, but it was entertaining in its own way. And the voice cast is great as always, especially since you have voice acting favs like Candi Milo, Thomas F. Wilson and Paul Rugg. And surprisingly, Pig’s VA voices Wedge in Final Fantasy VII Remake.

The reason why Mantis was changed into a Cricket in the actual show is because I guess Nickelodeon had a rule that no TV shows have the same character since Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness had their own Mantis.

I think that they definitely improved the animation compared to the pilot. Its less stiff, more jumpy which works well for cooper's art style. However kinda sucks that mantis was changed to cricket, I like his evil scientist voice than the cliche geeky voice.
