Pig Ugly PDW (CYMA CM060 P90 Airsoft Sub Machine Gun AEG Review)

In this #airsoft review I take a look at the CYMA CM060 sub machine gun, an incredibly solid airsoft AEG replica of the FN P90 PDW, one of the most brilliant pieces of engineering, even if it is a pig ugly gun!
This #cyma CM060 P90 AEG is a very compact weapons platform due to its bullpup configuration. Add a unusual top-loading magazine and you have a very small PDW with a very large inner barrel for such a tiny footprint. The large inner barrel give this #airsoftgun great accuracy which means it can hold its own even in longer range combat. However, this gun is more suited for CQB and vehicle crews since it is so small.
The ergonomics of the P90 easily outweigh the quite ugly externals. Function over form. This gun is completely ambidextrous and well balanced, although getting used to the unconventional mag placement can be difficult.
Performance-wise, this CYMA CM060 is a very capable gun straight out of the box, with an effective range of around 60 metres (what you should expect from a decent 350FPS airsoft gun) and a decent but controllable fire rate. This gun is great for new players due to its low cost, great performance, light weight and yet solid build.

i like your video review excellent,with regard to fire rate v accuracy both can be useful,my p90 has had a full upgrade inc mosfet with burst mode,4 or 5 bbs coming out of this gun using a red dot sight gives you a far better chance to hit a human sized target than on semi only as bbs are not bullets so there is a spread effect which on burst mode increases you chance of a hit.but as you quite rightly say accuracy is also important along with the range.i use a mag adapter holding 1500 bbs and an m4 mag .great gun,keep up the good work with your vids

Neat gun! What are your thoughts on the ST-57? It's an M4 chassis, but uses P90 mags.

Oh Jesus kill it with fire, can't think of anything worse, an M4 and a P90. I'm sure it works fine but I am not a fan of the M4 nor am I keen on the looks of the P90

Thanks mate, well I respect the P90 but I think it looks a little silly but FN were aiming for function over form. I hope so too but for now it seems to be fine, I usually get an age restriction the second the video finishes processing. Time will tell.

Didn't seem to be a problem when I used it. Chucked a Feyachi on it from my AK, didn't even need zeroing which surprised me.

60m ?......is that out the box?. I know you said effective range but you meant that yeah? I'm looking at this or the ares Amoeba crr you did a review on..I think you said that could hit 60m too....which one do you rate more...I want a mk23 carbine back up to sling on my back but would like it to hold its own as a primary paired with a pistol. I have a few rifs etc but am looking for something different. Thanks in advance.

I do have a habit of mixing up max and effective range. This gun out of the box is perfectly capable of hitting targets up to around 60 metres. In my experience the typical 350FPS Airsoft gun can easily reach out to 60m max, although it will still be very respectable in accuracy. And I find with most Airsoft guns, especially the lower power guns, the gap between the effective range and max range is very small. So this P90, whilst it's definitely happier within 50 metres, it is more than capable of hitting a player out to 60 with a decent degree of accuracy. The Amoeba is one of the most ridiculous guns I've used, very accurate even at the max range of around 60-65. Has a very good hop unit and a tightbore as standard. Between the two, the Amoeba definitely edges it, but the P90 out of the box is perfectly capable of competing with most of the guns you'll encounter as long as the hop is set right. I tend to have a slightly larger bounce to my trajectory. Chuck a madbull tightbore in the P90 with a G&G green bucking and it'll be outrageous in range and accuracy.

That's why I used a gun which I didn't mind losing. Although the common failure point of DSG builds is the piston rack either being ripped off or shredded in which case the gearbox casing would most likely be fine although it can ruin the stuff inside. If you want to build one you definitely want to do it to a gun you can spare.
