It explains why my dad's pigeons are sick all the time and my uncle's are in perfect health despite them being kept literally 10 feet from eachother and eating the same feed. My uncle's loft is pretty much perfectly ventilated and dry as a desert so despite keeping more birds than my dad in a smaller space it doesn't smell at all. My dad's loft on the other hand reeks, is damp all the time and there isn't a year he doesn't have multiple dead chicks. No wonder since it has no vent holes and is a repurposed tool shed...

Dampness is a killer all wood floors are best holds heat slant floor rinse cage out I had vents and screen and a nice gardening cloth over screen no dampness just fresh air ❤
