Thanks! Those are audio cables from Hosa. One end is 1/4 TRS into the H4n and the other end is just RCA plug to the monitor out of the mixer. I use it to record my mixes so I don't have to record on the computer.
@CrankCase0811 жыл бұрын
I've been using one of these for some time now but have realised the audio is not good enough for quality vocal recording, but it's good enough for live work. The 6.5mm jack sockets seem to be pretty cheap too because the connections become unstable, likely due to fatigue of the contacts, and the preamps get too noisy when turned up. Consequently, I'm now going to replace it with one of the Focusrite Scarlett range, I just haven't decided which one yet.

I just used this unit a week ago for a wedding gig, not that i have that much experience using it and it was right out of the box so no time to figure it out! The microphone i used we could not really get any volume out of it, and now i see what you just showed , TURN IT UP IN THAT LINE OF SWITCHES, i feel like an idiot now lol lol But just learned something , thanks much for the video.

I have an external USB sound card which I output to the mixer. The mixer does not connect to the computer digitally in anyway. You can consider using the headphone out 3.5 jack of your computer connect it to the 1/4 inch input of the mixer. You'll need a special cable.

Yes you can output two channels to mains and 2 channels to sub but I'm not sure about the volume control. I don't think you can do it since I think the master volume will control the monitor volume.

Thanks. You do not need an external recorder like the Zoom. You can just record within your computer like most do. I just do it this way to save on system resources but it's not the primary reason I have the Zoom.

@pigeonistvideos Hey man, I loved your video. I' am planning to buy this mixer too. I do have one question though. Is there an on and off switch button for the Behringer XENYX 802? If not, then if you want to turn it off, is plugging out the power source the only option? Because from what I've heard plugging out the power source to turn something off damages the product. Please respond back ASAP! Thanks!

You can use a USB interface that Behringer also sells to hook this guy up to a computer. I just bought the Behringer Q802USB which comes with the USB interface built in. That is also an option. I am using mine for podcasting and plan to use the FX send slot for live phone calls using iRig. I'll be posting when I'm set up if anyone is interested.

There is no off switch on the 802. There is an aux on the power supply no info on what this does that I can find. If you Break down your equipment properly then you should not have any issues damaging this product. Also one quick tip if you have a problem with these small mixers not having any on / off switch: Buy a surge protector. You should be using one for your setup anyway. Use that to cut power. Cheers!

Hello there! I plugged in my Yamaha CM-500 headset into my Behringer XENYX Q802USB mixer, plugged the mixer into the computer, and tried speaking into the microphone. For some odd reason, my speech into my headphones is slower than the rate at which I am actually saying it. How do I fix this error? Thank you very much!

newbie here: since this is not USBversion , what type of cable do you connect this to your Laptop/Pc with? I just need it to connect my xlr mic, beyer headphones and speakers via jack to this , will I be able to?
@pigeonistvideos9 жыл бұрын
You can output from your computer headphone into the mixer aux in using 3.5 jack to RCA cable. If you use an XLR mic it won't go route back to the computer. You can try but there will probably be an echo.
@arncj189 жыл бұрын
aha and the RCA end needs to be 1/4" right? and so the xlr mic wont work properly?
@pigeonistvideos9 жыл бұрын
RCA jacks look like the ones in TVs. You can try using the 1/4 TRS jacks as well. The mic can be routed to a digital recorder but routing it back to the computer will cause a loop so you might hear your voice with an echo. Get a 2nd hand audio interface if you want better audio/computer connectivity under $100.

Hey I've had this issue forever(like 5+ years) and never worried about it until now. SO... I have my two monitors plugged into the main out, it's basic, the right speaker is plugged in to the right and the left is plugged into the left. HERE'S THE PROBLEM... Whenever there is a pan to the right it's very faint. anything that's panned to the left works perfectly BUT the right is barely able to be heard. What do you think the issue could be?
@pigeonistvideos10 жыл бұрын
Don't take offense if I state the obvious. I don't know how thorough your troubleshooting has been at this point. I'm just gonna list things I would check. 1. Check PAN level at input source 2. Check PAN level at mixer input 3. Check levels of the the weak monitor if powered 4. Check levels of the the weak monitor at amp if applicable 5. Check your wiring and plugs I would also flip the L/R to see if the problem flips or stays. I'm ready to move on from this mixer. So I'll be getting rid of it to get more channels and built in effects.

How do I decide what speakers to get
@pigeonistvideos11 жыл бұрын
1. Budget 2. Listen to the speakers personally at the store 3. KZbin reviews 4. Have a clear understanding of what the speakers are for (studio or party) I'm sure there are other things to consider but start with that.

hi, 1 question the instrumental enter with my voice when o record, Why???
@pigeonistvideos8 жыл бұрын
The instrumental goes to the main output with your voice. The tracks can not be separated for the output. Listen to the instrumental from another source like your mobile phone with headphones. Do not put your instrumental in the mixer.
@pauldavison38828 жыл бұрын
Hi Walid! Connect your sound card/audio interface's output to the mixer's 2-track in, and the mixer's 2-track out to your sound card/audio interface's input. Also connect a mic for recording your voice (obvious) and headphones for monitoring. Push down the 2-TR TO CTRL ROOM button, and make sure the 2-TR TO MIX button is up (very important). This configuration sends your "instrumental" to your headphones while your voice goes down one channel, onto the stereo bus (alone) and out through the mixer's 2-track out. Hope this helps, and good luck with your recordings!
