Pigeons NYC: Resident Red Tailed Hawk circles, while keeping pigeon on edge. New Coopers Hawk

So, I'm certain that this Hawk had been classified by indigenous people before this Cooper person thought he discovered it. I will call it the White Tipped Tail Hawk. Does anyone know the indigenous name of this Hawk? I'll be doing my research. Glad that this Cooper person put out the information, that's all he did.
