My first grow, I did top all 3 plants. The plants loved it, and I also super cropped them too. 13 mason jars of cannabis. 2 years later, and the smell is still incredible! Do Si Dos, Granddaddy Purple, and Strawberry Cough from ILGM. Strawberry was a little loose, but what a smell!!

Any and all training is my preference. I agree with you about topping. I only remove tops if I want to let other plants catch up. I have moved away from supercropping to the 90 degree plant clips instead. I find they are faster and more reliable at preventing the plant from correcting itself too quickly. I honestly leave them on until they are difficult to remove. When you finally do take them off they will form a massive knuckle. Another benefit is that it's much more difficult to break branches with them. They are dirt cheap too.

i have been getting great yields without larf by growing my seedlings in a 1 litre pot for around 5 to 6 weeks and flip...when i transplant into 5 gallon pots i trim one 3rd of the bottom branches leaving around 3 or 4 branches and one top...this creates a very top heavy plant that produces huge heads...i also use a product called switch foliar at day 7 and 17 and this eliminates hermies..

I found training plants from seedling seems to use more CaMg and silica. I train to grow tied down in totes indoors. Plant it to one side of tote. I try to keep plant as horizontal as possible indoors. Outdoors in the orchard I use ufo pruning/training inline to go in the cherries and fit into the nets to keep birds out of cherries. I strip out bottom 18-24 inches for a round ufo or like a fan shape like a step leader at a 45 to the north in the low lands. To allow air flow under the plant. Ufo means upright fruiting offshoots. I use fruit pruning technics to train the plants. All about get more light to leaves and not letting plant shade itself out.

I love topping. But just started using bud clips and loving them. Next run I may try and not top and only twist bend and turn my plant.

Topping should only be done by necessity. It does have its place.lollipopping is another great technique.

When super cropping and training every single day do you want to bend them the same direction each day or can you switch directions up?

Cut any stretching tertiary branch. The main stalk is the first. Secondaries are your main bud branches. The spindly little branches that grow from your primary bud tops that produce little small tops are your tertiary suckers. If you nip them as they develop in stretch, your other canopy training will take your big bud tops and convert them into straight massive spears. You can double your overall yield.

Best training is never let the roots hit the bottom, when roots show at bottom of pot add soil on the outside of the pot and the roots will grow out of the bottom pot holes and grow into the dirt around the pot. Then re pot and when roots hit the bottom do it again, let roots grow outisde of the pot, then transplant huge root mass into a giant tote of soil and it will grow into a giant over 7 foot bush inside. It will grow like its outdoors. Humidity around 60 or 50s and temp mid high 70s low 80s.
