I think we will get THIS true ending by saving pony from getting hit, but he will act like he got hit regardless. He will tell you at the end that he was actually faking it (this will lead into the ending as you'll guess) but before that you have to play on player (rather than player + bot) and stun Marcus before he actually gets to pony, then pony will stun him again when he gets there. You have to backtrack to safe place and get a zizzy picture with Pony. (The start cutscene is you tracing back) and you have to beat Chapter 12 then. That's how you get this true ending.
