Hi Just want to say Piglet stole the show on youtube. She is sooo cute. I have a rescue Pit named Cookie who is with me everywhere. I also have another rescue German Chow mix named Charlie who is a about gentle soul. Hes beensick sith pneumonia. Hopefully he will get better, our son Nikolas who has Ds and Autism loves Charlie.The first dog hes really appreciated.Nanny dog

Piglet is a classic example of why it is CRUCIAL to socialize your puppy as soon as possible! Walk them as soon as they have had their shots, Get them used to people and other animals immediately and you won't have issues later on. Take them on puppy play dates if you need to and training classes will be so beneficial to both you and the dog! x

You know it also depends on the dog's character. I have a mini doxie too and took him everywhere as soon as he had his shots. He still barks at some people and dogs, and absolutely refuses to be touched by a stranger. Tbey are stubborn little dogs. ;) Mine definitely prefers the countryside and is not a happy fellow when we go into the city.

My little cockapoo is exactly like Piglet! She's nearly four now yet she still barks at anything and everything! We've had her since she was a puppy and went to puppy class as soon as she was able to so we have no idea why she's like it. But I find it really helps carrying treats with me and giving her one and crazy praising her when she ignores someone else or another dog. It's really helping, you should see if it works with little Pig! 😀

Hey Fleur, loved the video; just an idea for leaving Piglet alone is that you could maybe leave the radio on for her. We always used to do this for my dog when she was left at home and she seemed to be much happier when it was on than when it wasn't. Hope this is helps, she looks lovely and I'm sure she'll get used to the city/other dogs soon! x

I love how so many people have their opinion of what she's doing wrong with piglet or what she should do. If you don't like what you see, stop watching. It's pretty obvious all the pups are treated like royalty!! Love you fleur!!

if you plan on leaving piglet alone at the studio regularly, you could try and not give her that much attention whenever you come home, because that way your showing her that it's not anything special that she is alone for some time.. If you're praising and cuddling her and that way (unintentionely) making her get overly excited immediantly when you get back, it makes her think that this was a really scary big deal thing and she might be very nervous the next time..maybe barking the whole time you're out or destroying things.. of course you can still cuddle her and stuff, but maybe wait till she has calmed herself down and isn't whining anymore.. I know it's hard, because you are excited to see her, too..but it's ultimately better for her nerves not being stressed the whole time you're gone..

Spaying is so much better for their health if you're not planning on them having puppies. It reduced cancer and other things. My friends dog wasn't spayed and got a womb infection and almost died when she was still only about a year or two old.

Fleur has brought a studio flat in London to stay in when she has work/meetings. She still lives with Mike in the other house but it's just easier to have a place in London as well because she travels there so much. X

Dachshunds bark. You all expert "dog trainers" are leaving out the fact that doxies are prone to barking and prone to nervousness; I know, I have an inherently nervous dog myself and barking is just something he does, and he is extremely well-behaved! Being told how to train your dog is just as bad as being a mother told how to raise her kid. It's very personal! Fleur, you're doing a great job with the breed you have :) It's hard not to spoil!

Sarah Peterson that is so true. I have a 2.5 year old Chihuahua and we recently got a 6month old puppy. She is a Chihuahua aswell but we are pretty sure there is a Dachshund somewhere in her too bc she is longer than normal Chis xD and her paws look like a Dachshund and she has a lot of similar behaviour. Like she is really nervous, barks when she is unsure of people or dogs and when she wants to play she stops, crouches and then "attacks" haha like a hunter. we are trying to get her used to as much loud noise etc bc we definitely dont want her barking at stuff..

Dogs (and cats) only bark and miaow to talk to humans, when they communicate in between each other humans can't hear it... So when a dog barks it just shows that it's not very well trained :)

But we only see a certain portion of her day, and after all, its her dog. Lastly, its quite common for dogs to be in restaurants on trains and restaurants in london. I see them all the time.

A dog or a child needs to travel to grow. As you can see Piglet is obviously adapting to her new environment. By doing that she is more resilient and happier. As for trains and restaurants, if they accept dogs, then obviously you are the minority. And you know how it works with the voice of minority.

letslurkbec Wheesht! Fleur and Mike's dogs have an amazing life! Well loved, live in the country, not alone and Pig is especially lucky because she gets to keep Fleur company. If Pig was to be left in the flat alone all day (which sadly a lot of us have to do with our dogs!) then that wouldn't make sense but she's out meeting people and improving her skills as she's been spoiled in the country thus far. Also dogs are allowed on trains!! And 'dog friendly' restaurants are for like minded dog loving social people.... quite the opposite of you my dear! And another thing! Dachshunds were work dogs so they love to be out, its only tiring because she's not used to it, its all new and she's only 1 year old!!! Keep being amazing ***** and thank you for the wonderful vlogs xxxxxx
