I remember watching this vlog when it first came out and it’s always stuck with me. My husband and I just lost our dog last month, she was only 4 too & the centre of our world… hearing the words from this vlog has put everything I’m feeling right now into words. No one can replace the first pet you get as a couple and she’ll always be no1 in my heart 😔🤍

I lived in Edzell Scotland in 1980-1983 when I was in the US Navy. I bought an English Cocker. She was a blue roan with three Crufts best of breed in her pedigree. Yours are so cute.

This can happen to dogs who are purebred, it’s so unhealthy. My Labrador died in a similar way aged 4. You should’ve consider a mixed breed for the dog home

2022...and I still watch this particular vlog every season. The party, friends, drinks, food, CHEESE, the BEAUTIFUL conservatory along with the crashing at the end...it's the most perfect festive thing to watch and brings me back to that time period. ❤️🎄🎅🏻

I lost my eldest dog, Charlie girl who I'd had from a pup, just 2 weeks ago, she was 9, her cancer was not treatable. I feel a deep sense of loss as we grew up together and I've had to learn to live every day in a world without her. I have never said never to one day having a bit more companionship but I know it's too soon to be thinking about that, no one could ever replace my Charlie or the strong bond we shared.

The last time I saw my little Charlie girl, 9, was the morning of April 30, 2022, it was a Saturday, Charlie had been carried down the stairs to the car to be taken to the vets. She had a full scan, it came back she had blood vessel cancers in the spleen and liver that spread and became inoperable. That afternoon she was brought into a bereavement suite at the hospital where she was peacefully put to sleep. It's been over two weeks, but Oh My God, I am still a mess and I have been in floods of tears and because Charlie always slept and sat by me like a soft shadow, I feel as if something has been physically ripped from me. RIP Charlie, and RIP Woofy. They are as much a part of your family as your mom, dad and siblings, grandparents and sometimes they become closer than that. x

Feeling some serious nostalgia this year, but just wanted to tell you Fleur: thank you for celebrating Christmas and sharing your Christmas’ with all of us. The awkward pre-teen in me don’t know what she would’ve done during the holidays without you :)
